Yes but fifa/uefa can ban players from playing at international level and can ban teams from ever returning to their domestic leagues. Something will have to give here. I can't imagine the players will be overly happy with this either, but of course they may just see the pound signs and go along with it

I think the players will be free to do what they want as a compromise, but the clubs won't be able to return, not without starting from the bottom.

But they are screwed either way. If the teams leave to form a esl then how would they still compete on the epl?

It’s like the champions league so it would run along aside it

Just a thought. I wonder if the premier leagues current shittest managers (considering their resources) Arteta, Solskjaer and Mourhino knew anything about this?

Jesus Christ the whole thing is a farce! The day we made the 1st fa cup final in my lifetime could also be the day football dies. Horrific stuff!

Spurs being invited to this Super League is the equivalent of Bananaman being called up to the Avengers.

It’s ironic, Mourinho announced himself to the world stage by taking Porto to an unexpected Champions League victory. This competition ensures that will not happen again.

The tag line is: “The best clubs, the best players, every week.”

SPURS HAVE MATT DOHERTY AT RIGHT BACK - **** off!

It's an overused term, but this whole thing is the ultimate gaslighting.  Starting with that statement about solidarity and trying to frame the fact these clubs are all getting 350m payoff as some kind of altruistic "for the good of the game" bs.  But this tagline is another example.

Probably pointless, but here's our credentials:

Oldest football club in the World(technically Sheffield FC are)

Won the FA Cup in 1894.

Juve got their kits from us.

Sol Campbell played a game for us.

Thanks for your consideration,

Notts County FC

Oh no. Some ***** started a new thread!

Because the other thread is about the new champions league format and not the super league....I hope this wasn’t aimed at me.

Clearly the FA will deduct points from big 6 and expel them. Is the title race now between Leicester, West Ham and Everton?   (For this season)

Then who are Arsenal? The mascot for a haemorrhoids cream?

If Tottenham have to start from scratch down in tier 5 of the league they’ll probably not get back to the prem until the end of the century
