Imagine if we'd had him and Evans all season. What a difference they've made. Comfortably man of the match for me tonight.

The timing of his tackles against Gakpo and Götze in that second half.

Often pundits talk about how it seems as though time slows down for the best attacking players. It seems like that for Fofana too. His anticipation and timing are spot on.

Absolutely superb.

When you recall how horrific his injury was, the   immediate return to top form has been quite staggering. What a player he is!

To put in the level of performance as he did tonight, whilst fasting, is remarkable

My concern when he got injured was him losing some pace. If anything he looks quicker!

Savage said last night people are saying he will be the next VVD he isn't that level yet but I belt he could be better!

That challenge from the Villareal player compromised our season.

A poor ref letting challenges go in a pre-season friendly compromised our season.  If the ref had taken control and issued cards appropriately, that challenge would probably never have happened.

Fofana is immense.  Evans is immense.

Definitely reminds me of a young VanDijk.

The type of player who ‘glides’ across the pitch seemingly effortlessly, with pace in abundance and skill on the ball.

To be playing this well so soon after that horrendous injury is ridiculous really

Will go on to become a player at a top European club

Like many others, I am in the camp of he will leave at some point, the boy is that good. To do what he is doing after that horrific injury and following his religious beliefs is nothing short of monumental.

We are just going to enjoy it while he is here, he is a pleasure to watch play the game of football. Makes things look so simple and effortless, I really just hope if the day does come where he moves on, he leaves as hero not a villan.

He's so good he could probably walk into any team already. Considering how long it's taken Ricky to get back into form, I didn't expect Wes to be in peak form until next season, but the guys a natural athlete. The best business we've done this season is tying him down to a new contract. He'll surely become the 1st 100M defender.

I remember how we all felt when he went down against Villerareal. We instinctively new that our season could be derailed as a result of one moment of savagery in a pre-season friendly. Unfortunately our instincts were right. But now he's back and we are a totally different team. It's reminiscent of the importance of Van Dyke to Liverpool. Hard to believe to look at them now that they were so poor without him, losing game after game. Fofana is fast, an excellent tackler, a progressive passer of the ball and he reads the game superbly. And like Van Dyke he seems to have more time than anyone else on the field. He, along with the return of Evans and the meteoric rise of KDH have transformed us from a mid-table outfit into a top 4 calibre team. If Vardy returns soon to put away some of the guilt-edged chances we've been missing recently, winning the Europa Conference is very much on, as is a late run for a top 7 finish. But back to Fofana: At 20 years of age he has to be one of the hottest properties in the game and we've just signed him to a long term deal. We got 80 million for Maguire so what is this lad worth?!

Probably best not to compare, because we absolutely rinsed Man U on that deal :D

I'll be shocked if he leaves us for a penny under £100 million.

He had me on my feet clapping at this point (I was at home)

Yep, we scored a few secs after this. A true rolls Royce of a defender

This exactly. There is going be a bidding war for him. I just hope he goes to Spain and we get to buy Nottingham from the proceeds.

That sprint at 1-0 where he made up about fifteen yards, got the ball and won the free kick was the act of an utterly world class centre back

EDIT just seen the last few posts
