Thought he lost control abit when Leeds were making subs - he was talking to their keeper & centreback about something while a substitute-boarded Dan James ambled off as slowly as possible walking over from the other side of the pitch. Faes stepped in to have a word with James, but the ref's oblivious talking to their players.

Did add all the wasted time back on at the end though. Great calls apart from that, even when Leeds were having a lie down for nothing he let play on.

Out of the 6 minutes of extra time we saw about two minutes of football. Ref was oblivious. Can’t believe how much credit he’s getting. 😂

Whoever it was tonight I thought was pretty decent tbf.

He tried to let both teams play and let a lot go IMHO

He had a few moments where he looked a bit out of his depth looked awful during Leeds blatant time wasting & going down like they’d broken a leg or two, but he wasn’t as bad as that Incompetent Cockwomble Keith Stroud we had against Sunderland he lost the plot completely hadn’t a scooby doo what was going on around him gave away awful decisions missed things right infront of him he’s as useless as a chocolate fire guard !!

Basically the same as every other ref, no desire to actually enforce the new anti-time wasting directives. Still not sure how Summerville didn't walk given its a red for violent conduct even before they square up but that's the linos fault. Not the worst we've had all season but that's very much a "kingdom of the blind" kind of deal because he didn't really have control of the game

Another shit ref. Players walked all over him, took the piss with time wasting and on a couple of occasions totally guessed at decisions, waiting for a linesman 60 yards away to flag before even making a call. Booking Hamza for allowing himself to be shoved probably summed him up. We don't need them relegating Anthony Taylor to this level, there's enough dross down here already.

The lino on the west stand side was hopeless. Missed offsides and Summerville/ Choudhury

I much prefer the refs in this league. Physical contact is allowed and not every foul is a yellow card. The prem really make it a non contact sport.

It's a completely different job it you think about it.

EFL refs have to make the big decisions and be confident in them - they actually have to officiate games.

Whereas in the Prem any big decision is reviewed from every angle before a decision is made.

Thought he was decent tbf, let the game flow and gave advantage at the right times.

The penos shouts n diving he was spot on with and didn't let the players walk over him.

Compared to the ref against the Sunderland the difference was night n day.

No ref is going to be 100% but thought he did well. The linos on the other hand were unless and didn't help him at all.

Last 10 minutes he very much did. The substitution where their centre back distracted him for a chat while James took an eternity to walk off was particularly egregious.

Genuinely thought the ref was alright Based on the standard to expect now days.

The linesman, first half, however....couldn't keep up with their attackers so just kept his flag down despite Summerville being offside by a country mile on numerous occasions.

That whole Summerville situation could have been resolved quite quickly given he was being subbed off.

Winks made a bad challenge at one point and got let off.

Refs brain went to mush in the final part of the game

This is honestly a mockery of the game.

He gets relegated to the championship for being incompetent. Ruins the game he’s reffing by giving one of the worst penalty’s i’ve ever seen.

His punishment for that?!… a welcome back to the prem… take on one of the biggest fixtures.

They literally don’t care about performance and the whole thing is one big pantomime

Don't see how both ended up being booked for this. Almost 2 yellow worthy for the Leeds player.

On another note, am in shock at how Winks didn't get booked in that game.

Pick the headlock or him getting in Summervilles face.
