Martin Out

[WhoGivesAFuchs]

Does anyone care about shots when they don’t score? Tom Watson having 8/10 shots a game that you could throw your hat on, De-Cordova Reid with his constant display of woeful finishing.

The football doesn’t work, anywhere he goes it doesn’t work, the teams build up too slow, teams sit back and know someone is going to mess up and they pounce.

The defense isn’t sound, and it hasn’t been for a long time and he hasn’t sorted that it’s just as bad as the Danny Wardian Era.

We need someone in that can bring the vibe back with the fans, get us on his side, experience in a dressing room that had good energy and success.

Our fan base will never except Russell Martin, doesn’t matter what he goes and does.

[The Quick Brown Fox]

"i don't know what you want"

Meaningful shots, goals, wins, not to pass to the opposition in our own box, not to have defenders that have brainfarts every 2 minutes, to watch an exciting football match, to be able to hold onto a lead, our Leicester back.

Oh and you to **** off

I just find all of this so depressing. Is having a football club that is somewhat competently run and a manager that we can get behind really so much to ask for? ****ing hell!

This is very disingenuous.

Firstly, I don't think anyone is complaining about youth being played.  It is the tactics hindering the team that concerns people.

Secondly, this is not a rebuild.  Circumstances have forced us to get rid of as many high earners as possible, the wages being unsustainable in this division.  This was not a choice.  Recruitment has been poor yet again.  Filling in gaps with journeymen his mates.  That is not my idea of a rebuild because there is no forward planning.

To deflect what is happening on to the fanbase, as if we are the problem, is ludicrous.  Such is the mismanagement of this club, the fact that all we do is moan a bit on the internet shows how passive and restrained we actually are.

nah come on, some people are moaning just for the hell of it, like the stockport game having a go at martin even when we are winning,

i get moaning but some of it is moaning for moanings sake

on your other points, sure i suppose, i dont think its just on him imo its the players at times too....a 2 way street so to speak

but as i've said previous no matter who we get theyd moan, could be pep and some fans would still moan.

i guess some people just like being completely negative no matter what(in general i mean)

yeah dont ask for a miracle, be lucky to find a manager all our fans can get behind and even then some will give them 3 games and call for them to go

That fan didn’t speak for me. I liked Enzo, enjoyed his football and understood that achieving promotion irrespective of the squad was not a foregone conclusion. His career trajectory since he left us would suggest the good proportion of LCFC fans that did like Enzo, that didn’t boo him, and that appreciated his work here were spot on. Now Martin isn’t Enzo but he does try and have a similar approach. He’s also right that Leicester have been shit since Enzo. Unfortunately we still are.

The only way Martin will reduce the amount of haters at games and on here is to win games. He will still have haters though like Pearson did, for a confidence, or a perceived arrogance. I personally don’t care about any arrogance or confidence or hair or clothes or whatever. If he starts winning games then that is ultimately all we should want as supporters considering the club’s position.

Correct. Just win games ffs

I wonder how long the board will cling on before they pull the plug - there will be a tipping point, even for our buffoons.

every other arguement about moaning in regards LCFC/RM seems to be clear cut tho.........

also what happens when you get a couple of bozos in the team who have brain farts(ala McCarthy and Souttar)

im pretty sure some would have moaned about the Plymouth game too if they had the chance

I'm sorry I can't believe people aren't making more of "you've been shit for ages", that's a sackable offence on its own for me.

Sackable offence for a bit of honesty? Do me a favour mate. Leicester City have been shit for ages. That is an absolute honest fact.

I just want to win football games in the third tier against sides like Burton to be honest. That would be a start

And the optimism and spirit to think that although we’re a goal or 2 down that we’ll change a couple of things , the team will click and we have a chance to get something from the game

Two really easy questions for anyone with any credibility in the media to ask on Thursday.

"Russell, in an exchange with a fan on tuesday night you mentioned 135 shots in 5 games. Leicester have had 99 shots in their last 5 years unless i'm mistaken, did you want to clarify that stat? Also as a follow up, do you think including stats from a 4-0 loss at home is appropriate to illustrate your team is attacking?"

"Russell also in that exchange you referred to the club you're employed by as "shit for a long time" do you think that's in any way appropriate?"

Obviously will never happen but still....

Anthony would never let anyone in the building that would even consider asking this question.

Bozo’s picked and signed by Martin. He’s got ample

choice at centre back, and it’s a keeper he’s had for years at Southampton what he signed

tbf i agree, i wondered why we signed McCarthy when hes crap with his feet, feels like a mutual **** up by the club and manager

What a silly comment.

One is an unrealistic expectation. Another is a very reasonable thought that a club with the biggest budget in the division should win some football games at the lowest level they’ve played

Debate properly or don’t bother

We lost at home to Burton Albion and got ****ing humiliated by Oxford.

He is a dog shit manager. He’s been a dog shit manager everywhere he’s been.

Why is it because he’s now our dog shit manager there’s STILL Leicester fans that think he’ll suddenly be anything other than a dog shit manager?

I don’t want to give him time. I don’t want to have any sympathy for him. I want this incredibly well paid man to be sacked.

By the way, it’s becoming increasingly obvious a good portion of our signings are also in fact dog shit.

Yep, it’s ok to not be the best team in a league. It’s sport, there are winners and losers, it’s the basis of the game.

But everything we have and are suffering is entirely self inflicted by the board. Everybody knew exactly how appointing Brussel Martin would turn out, and yet here we are, wondering if he can beat (checks notes) f**king Bromley in October to keep his job.

Ive said it before, but it takes something truly special to be as comprehensively inept as we have been over the last 3 years

Josh Holland: Exciting 135 shot Leicester City statistic that shows Russell Martin’s foxes progress

[TrentFox]

I really liked his responses to the questions. Everyone of us would agree regarding our current state and how it has been for years.

[FoxesFan100]

I like the engagement, I thought what he said was true. We have been sh*t for a long time. We’ve had “fans” moaning and booing at every opportunity.

The sooner fans realise that we are where we are and accept that we are “sh*t” maybe we can start pulling in the same direction and giving encouragement to the team the sooner we can get out.
