Staveley had excellent connections across the industry and in the gulf

is there any evidence that Lal is anything more than a modern day Michael Knighton ?

Knighton got a position on the board and was a whisker from gaining a majority of shares in Man U . For £11 mill outlay .His backers got cold feet at the  last minute in what would have been the deal of the century . Didn’t he buy Aldershot or similar ?

If he comes out at half time wearing a city shirt doing ball tricks this will confirm it

He's just a British based spokesman for the currently unnamed Indian multi million / billionaires who are actually interested.

He's interested in Leicester the same way Stavaley was interested in Newcastle.

If that's true, great, but I haven't seen any other posts saying Indian Multi-millionaires / Billionaires are interested.

He literally says in like, the first minute or something of the interview, that he represents 3 investors in India.

Looks like 2 interested parties have walked away because of the huge Debt Flop & Rudkin have got us into !

What do people expect the accounts to show? We see the financial records published every year, football clubs do not make money and if this one did do that then it would not be up for sale

Investors, yes, but nothing about Multi-millionaires / Billionaires?

Saudi executive Turki Alalshik has apparently been approached to buy City after he walked away from Derby County also mentioned by Ben Jacob’s, so long as whoever takes over shows Rudkin the Door when they take over.

Right yeah OK. It's Sanjay the minimum wage chai wala that's looking to buy a controlling stake in an English football club with Premier League debt obligations.

This will happen regardless.

I urge everyone to do a quick google of Turki Al-Sheikh and then ask yourself whether you want our football club associated with any of that.

If you think Top doesn't like criticism, just you wait.

Bharat construction is a name I’ve heard banded about, they could be the other part of the consortium backing Lal?

I've heard that Lal is related to some big wigs in the Indian IPL and it is them with the money.

Bloke said down the pub.

Which bloke?

Fat bloke.

Must be true then

As soon as Neil Lal said they were circumventing citigroup and going direct to leicester, I knew this man is a complete chancer.

Citi will have absolutely signed a contract of exclusivity with leicester and will sue the absolute living daylights out of King Power if they do a deal outside of their agreement.

Neil Lal, stay away from Leicester CITY Football Club.

City group will be looking for the highest price and maybe their brief or price isn't realistic.

He only mention streaming and merchandising involvement in the group in that interview.

One option is SunTV (Kalanithi Maran) who own Sunrisers IPL franchise and Sunrisers Leeds over here.

I got sent this earlier and it’s a non story unless all parties have pulled out. Non serious buyers would do exactly this.

I don’t think so, they could see this as a massive opportunity to get into it….. it could be incredibly lucrative if this is a genuine proposal and not a weird vanity project for Lal….

Rudkin will walk the moment KP sign the contract. There will be no sacking, he'll never get told to his face what a **** up he is, he'll leave the area and retire and we'll never hear anything about him ever again. *****.

Yes, but this guy is out in the press making claims that could undermine the sales process. If he buys the club (i highly doubt he will) then that is a toxic legal issue for an already battered king power financial portfolio.

Tbf, I think he gets told this daily wherever he is in the city(other than in Tops office), hence his need for personal security.

We would be lucky to have Top commit to attending games, imagine having owners this bothered about getting signings over the line.

Can see why they are on an upward trajectory.

“Their sporting director Florent Ghisolfi thought it was a done deal when a £25m bid was accepted last Tuesday morning with terms already agreed with player and his agents.

But, just as a private jet set off to pick him up from Lyon, Prem rivals Crystal Palace attempted to hijack the move.

A phone call from Eagles manager Pierre Sage, who worked with Fofana at Lyon, threw a spanner in the works before the South London club offered a higher fee to the French side and the attacker more wages.

Fofana, sat at Lyon airport and now with a plane from each club waiting for him, had a choice to make. But it was another jet ride that proved key as Sunderland’s owner Kyril Louis-Dreyfus flew from Switzerland to meet the player and, after matching Palace’s offer, got the deal over the line.

The 29-year-old billionaire stayed with the player as he underwent a medical at a private hospital in the French city for both clubs. But, finally, it was Ghisolfi who received the email confirming all those efforts had not been in vain an hour before the deadline that night.

Reflecting on the dramatic events, the ex-Roma chief told “I have a lot of stories and can write a book in my eight years of being a sports director but this one was something crazy”

Staveley and her husband also have more serious money of their own. A 25% stake that Mr Lal claims will be at least 50 million, unless they are borrowing it all and will saddle us with horrendous interest payments.200 million in loans might be around 17 million a year in interest. This is the big thing we cannot afford.

Seriously how can a club that 10 years ago was the envy of many, spoken about worldwide, in a position to kick on for years ahead and play regular European football ... manage to end up in league 1 ... for sale ... with a Indian businessman... or so he prortrayes himself to be looking to buy the club  ...  now a ridiculed laughing stock ... with what seems like a clueless manager ... the sorry state of affairs go on and on
