m4DD0gg Posted 6 August 2017 Posted 6 August 2017 Worried after watching arsenal today. Oh well we never win there anyway
Mickyblueeyes Posted 6 August 2017 Posted 6 August 2017 Kasper simpson morgan maguire chilwell ndidi iborra/james mahrez albrighton vardy kelechi i would've preferred to have played three in midfield but without an attacking RB we would suffer. i am so frigging glad the season is back.
Vacamion Posted 6 August 2017 Posted 6 August 2017 They love a plane banner down at Arsenal, don't they?
Vacamion Posted 6 August 2017 Posted 6 August 2017 Or perhaps to taunt their weedy elderly manager with our stacked assistant manager:
TJB-fox Posted 6 August 2017 Posted 6 August 2017 You just know Lacazette will score, it's the Leicester way. 2-1 defeat with a promising performance incoming I think.
irishfoxkev Posted 6 August 2017 Posted 6 August 2017 Should be a great penalty shoot out if it gets that far ??......Oh this isn't a meaningless pre season warm up....This is the real McCoy so we had better take care of them in 90 mins.....3-1 to the ??? with Xhaka getting a red card for assaulting a rampant Jamie Vardy ???
420Hashish Posted 7 August 2017 Posted 7 August 2017 Ozil and Ramsey are injured for the Leicester game. That's great news.
Ric Flair Posted 7 August 2017 Posted 7 August 2017 Got a feeling Shakespeare will play ultra negative and go 4-1-4-1 with Iborra sitting in front of the defence and Vardy up top on his own, but I think Okazaki has to start this if we harbour any intentions of anything other than holding on until the closing stages of the game where we stick or twist. That happened last season and we got nothing, like we probably deserved due to negative play. The team I hope starts: Schmeichel Simpson Morgan Maguire Fuchs Mahrez (Albrighton if Riyad's gone) Ndidi James Albrighton (Gray is Riyad's gone) Okazaki Vardy Subs: Amartey, Iheanacho, Slimani, Lawrence/Gray, Jakupovic, Chilwell, Iborra Just shows when you put the bench together with a near fully fit squad that surely Musa, King, Ulloa and Benalouane are going to be spare parts and if Mahrez and Drinkwater stay then James/Amartey and Lawrence might not even make the bench.
AjcW Posted 7 August 2017 Posted 7 August 2017 I think if he had any intentions of playing anything other than 4-4-2 we would have seen it against BMG because they play a very similar style to Arsenal. However if he feels he doesn't need to test it and it's been worked on in training all week then there's a chance... it won't be a back three though i'd say it would be 4-3-2-1 with a mid three of N'didi, Iborra and James with Iborra sitting deep.
Clever Fox Posted 7 August 2017 Posted 7 August 2017 I'd like us to try something different from the start to try and worry them. Otherwise, they will know how to handle us. For that reason, I'd like us to bring in Lawrence. he is a Goal threat as well as a winger for an out Ball. I don't think Nacho is ready for a full game and so I expect him to come on in the second half. Likewise Slim could be an option up top but his injury may also keep him out. But I wouldn't be surprised to see him line out either. Kasper Simpson Morgan Maguire Fuchs James Ndidi Iborra Mahrez Vardy Lawrence

blue blood Posted 7 August 2017 Posted 7 August 2017 got to try and stay in the game for the 1st 70 mins - maybe 0-0. go for a smash and grab in the last 20 or grind out a good draw away from home to one of our top 6 rivals.
dynamark Posted 7 August 2017 Posted 7 August 2017 Slim has a habit of getting groin injuries .That was only a flesh wound which I thought would be OK by now. TBH I doubt he would be a starter wish him well

Fox 4 Life Posted 7 August 2017 Posted 7 August 2017 I read somewhere that Ieanacho won't start so assume it will be pretty much last year's team with Maguire in for Huth and James/Iborra for Drinky. A bit depressing really as can see us losing 3-1 unless we suddenly become way more creative.
Jattdogg Posted 7 August 2017 Posted 7 August 2017 Seeing as we never beat them it doesn't look good for us. Im hoping first day upsets change that this year but id say a draw is our best chance. That or a 3-1 loss. Negative nelly today, check!
Detroit Blues Posted 7 August 2017 Posted 7 August 2017 How does Mike Dean keep getting work in the premier league?
