"A wake up call".

I would have thought that was the last 18 league games.

He's got away with so many of those over the years.

That low, chopped 'drive', often at 50% power, always gives me the heebie jeebies...

To be fair, he's given that one a fair batter, and if hits Ndidi anywhere else but flush on the back we'd probably be OK.

Really love kasper but there has to be something wrong under the skin for us to have capitulated that badly from a crazy mistake by kasper. It's not like him to do that. we've seen other keepers do it already but he wasn't under any pressure. Just a freak accident as a result of a bad decision and momentary loss of focus. The team collapsed after that. still can't believe it. did the team bus run over a basket of black kittens on the way to the vitality stadium??

His distribution has always been bad.

Yes he made a serious mistake today and probably should have saved the 2nd too.

But he has kept us in games - Arsenal A, Brighton H.

It can be excellent. But it's always been erratic, I think because he rates himself too highly, which leads to him being too clever by three quarters.

Yeah I do believe he’s over confident.

Here is the issue ......

Kasper is a brilliant, brilliant shot stopper, one of the best on the world. However, he isn’t a ball player, He just isn’t good enough in that department.

By trying to make us play that way, we’ll make errors and fail.

BR is a square peg in a round hole type of manager whilst he overhauls the squad. I. All honesty, it would be no different if we pulled in a few other Managers.

Other Managers take a look at what they have, then make do. This is why you get that initial new manager bounce, as people go back to basics and play to strengths.

I’m angry tonight, but I take a step back after my initial rage and consider that maybe we do need to break this team up, like Pep did at Man City, Klopp did at Liverpool and Ole is doing at United.

Puel, Brendan etc, all have a way of playing. As great as Kasper is, he doesn’t fit that mould.

“Leaders look inwards and take responsibility” is an interesting comment.

Fair play to him and Cags for their public apologies, shame Brendan cannot do the same and chooses to blame an individual player instead ......

Kasper has probably single handedly cost us 7/8 points this season. I’m furious at his performance tonight but people calling for him to go are being ridiculous.

Fixed that for you.

Just kidding. I agree with you too. I just wonder how many points he’s cost us? 3 tonight for sure. And how often does his random distribution undermine defensive confidence?

Legend, love him.
But so was Danny Simpson, and would anyone seriously argue that Danny wasn’t a very limited  footballer?

Look he's being asked to do things where the margin of error is virtually nil in playing out from the back. The first goal was just unfortunate and on another day could have deflected somewhere else. I think he's still one of the best shot stoppers but he's just not the keeper to be playing out from the back with.

I do get pissed of when Schmeichel makes mistakes but I also wish he was English so we could have a better keeper for England internationals.

He's better than Pope and Henderson (atm) and don't get me started on Pickford
