Guest BlueBrett Posted 5 October 2019 Posted 5 October 2019 That whole second half the ref was their 12th man. We couldn't pressure at all without them going down and getting a free-kick while he overlooked numerous blatant fouls on our lads. The Salah push on Cags probably being the most blatant example. Then the pen...sickening. We all knew what was gonna happen before Mane even hit the deck though didn't we.
Bazly Posted 5 October 2019 Posted 5 October 2019 Too many poor displays today - pointing at Chilwell and Albrighton in particular. Barnes was nowhere to be seen and Tielemans touches weren't composed or classy.
Guest Manini Posted 5 October 2019 Posted 5 October 2019 Just now, maynefox said: I would say the opposite. Let the players go off and those who aren't on international duty to have time off. Let's clear our minds and go into the next game after the break with a fresh head. Arsenal 2016 springs to mind. I meant for the fans!
EnglishOxide Posted 5 October 2019 Posted 5 October 2019 Blatant ****ing dive. That's the sort of thing where the ref is likely to change his mind if he goes and checks a replay for himself.
Tuna Posted 5 October 2019 Posted 5 October 2019 Liverpool getting the sort of luck we got in our title winning season. Yes he dived, but Albrighton was absolutely brainless in the first place. No disgrace to lose, but losing to an injury time penalty is always gut wrenching.
Arkie Bennett Posted 5 October 2019 Posted 5 October 2019 I thought VAR was supposed to separate the dives from the genuine fouls and level the playing field so certain teams don't get gifted penalties.
TheMightySystem Posted 5 October 2019 Posted 5 October 2019 Also Chilwell needs to spend the next few months improving his right foot and crossing, nearly played himself into trouble multiple times trying to find a pass with his left and his crosses just destroy so many promising attacks. Such a poor attacking game from him today.
foxes_rule1978 Posted 5 October 2019 Posted 5 October 2019 Mane 100% launches himself; still clumsy from Albrighton to not clear earlier
pSinatra Posted 5 October 2019 Posted 5 October 2019 I didn't give shit 2 hours ago if we lost, but to lose like that. Boils my piss It looked like a dive & VAR proved it was a dive..........but everybody loves Liverpool & Klopp, so ya know.
smr Posted 5 October 2019 Posted 5 October 2019 BRAIN DEAD MORONS ON FB THINKING IT WAS A PENALTY. UTTER MORONS.
Harry96 Posted 5 October 2019 Posted 5 October 2019 Very impressed with praet again, composed in possession and unlucky not to score with that effort.
That_Dude Posted 5 October 2019 Posted 5 October 2019 Also why on earth didn't Albrighton hoof the hell out of it? We were in additional time ffs.
Brooksy Posted 5 October 2019 Posted 5 October 2019 I can't believe some of you think that's a peno. He throws himself to the floor ffs
oxtonfox Posted 5 October 2019 Posted 5 October 2019 Ref bottled it but Albrighton and /or Schmiechel needed to just boot it away 😟
theadmans Posted 5 October 2019 Posted 5 October 2019 Albrighton needs to take a long hard look at his play in the last 5 minutes of the game.... I know he is not a defenfer but some of his decision making was very poor... ...gave possesion away on the right touch line needlessly a few of minutes before the peno. Anyone know what Perez's beef was about when it all kicked of after the final whistle?
bfox Posted 5 October 2019 Posted 5 October 2019 Just now, Arkie Bennett said: I thought VAR was supposed to separate the dives from the genuine fouls and level the playing field so certain teams don't get gifted penalties. Did you not see, Mane got absolutely hacked which caused his whole body to hurl itself in a different direction
baldeagle Posted 5 October 2019 Posted 5 October 2019 Dive or no dive Albrighton was clumsy and stupid
GorlestonFox Posted 5 October 2019 Posted 5 October 2019 Didn't Albrighton do virtually the same thing a few years ago? Can't remember who it was against.
lestajigs Posted 5 October 2019 Posted 5 October 2019 2.1 loss to the best side in Europe, kick in the teeth with late goal to deny us the draw, last 20 minutes we can take positives, overall fair result
Jonezy Posted 5 October 2019 Posted 5 October 2019 Thats Old Trafford, Stamford Bridge and Anfield out of the way. Only need Emirates and Etihad to get the big team homie refs out of the way. That said. Liverpool were far better than us and we are not quite there yet, but improving. Maddison on the wing does not work and Chilwell needs to step up. Caglar is a frickin monster in the making though. Heads up and onwards!!
RowlattsFox Posted 5 October 2019 Posted 5 October 2019 There was contact so people that think football is a non contact sport will say it's a penalty. It's a dive. But should never have got in that situation. Hard to say we deserved anything but gutting to lose like that. Mistakes for both goals.
Pliskin Posted 5 October 2019 Posted 5 October 2019 One thing that’s clear is we need a wide player in January. Barnes is nowhere near and it’s what we’re missing. Can’t allow Madders to play wide, it ruins his game.
