On balance of play and number of chances Liverpool created its the ‘right’ result. But we played great and fairly robustly to get ourselves into that position. 

 

Same old story though: away to the big sides our game management is poor in the big moments.

There may have been contact in the area, but it was hardly coming from what could be classed as a challenge.  The dive though, theatrics at its finest.

Sickening. 100% it was a pen. Albrighton messed up twice, should ve cleared it and then fouled Mane. Really hurts.

Poor first half set up cost us ultimately - when will Brendan learn? - together of course with the contentious penalty. Thought it would have been a deserved draw for the last half hour.

We played it for the last 20 minutes, gave us much more control in midfield and allowed more of an outlet while attacking. Stupid playing Maddison on the wing as he constantly moves inside which means when defending there is a massive gap infront of Chilwell and when attacking 1)Chilwell has no option in front to pass to and 2) If we hoof the ball like we did in the first half it just keeps coming back at us with no challengers cause no one is there.

Thought we were poor for large parts of the game, lacked quality at key times.

 

No issue with the penalty other than a brain fart for Albrighon who had to opportunities to clear the ball.

Robbed but we did it to ourselves.  Specifically Marc and Kasper did it.  But mistakes happen, we still matched one of the best teams in Europe man for man over 90 minutes, I'd rather dwell on that than the minute-long horror show at the end.

Might be a dive but that situation should never have happened in the first place. Albrighton just had to clear it but is too ****ing braindead. 

 

We didn't deserve anything really. Liverpool were miles better all match, we hoofed aimlessly and looked scared to death. Just a shame we lost a point 1 minute before the whistle was about to go. **** sake.
