Absolute shit for 95% of the game then scores an absolute barama 😂.

I still say if Chelsea are reaching for the silly money cheque book and we’ve got some idea of potential additions I’d be inclined to sell.

Better going forward but got tore apart defensively.

Stick him up front in future so we don’t have to watch him defend.

he's so, so good under pressure and at moving us up the pitch. Often underrated or unseen qualities but so important to us, especially with Ricardo out.

Thing is his attacking abilities are not and never have been a problem. Defensively he is pretty average so is he playing out of position? Bale moved up to left sided midfield and became world class. If he leaves Leicester he may well end up doing the same.

Can see him moving there but personally think he's been excellent defensively this season.

Cannot believe Rio and BT chatting like he is off to Chelsea and he would do better under Lampard! 🤬 Brendan is better than blooming Lampard. Hope he stays and improves his game at "little Leicester"

Nice to see him getting forward too!

Well, to be fair, Chelsea did improve Drinkwater

Pretty scandalous how BT were talking as if Chilwell is already a Chelsea player, even directly talking about how Lampard can coach him and improve him!

Lampard might see him as a ten plus goals per season midfielder while Rodgers appears happy to keep him as a five goals per season full back.

Chilwell is no Bale.

His final crosses are still so bad there is a seed of doubt that his goal was actually intended to be a cross.

Yet he does get into goal scoring positions and further upfield he would have more chances. If was scoring ten goals a season for us we would all be very happy.

To save me reading through the last few pages, has he left for Chelsea yet??

For me, he has trouble defensively against v fast or tricky wingers because he doesn't know the optimum position to take to nullify him.  For example, many times I've seen him standing much too far off when he looked more likely to benefit by getting across quickly and challenging before the winger had the ball under control.  He's surely not too old to improve his defensive deficiencies under Brendan's tutelage?

In real life, no.

In Rio Ferdinand's imaginary world; yes.

Bale at 22 wasn't the Bale we know today...

Reckon you need a drive up to Barnard Castle if you genuinely think that.

That's not a cross. The way he struck it, the angle of his body. Not even set up to cross. The fact his first glance is right at the goal as he just receives the ball.

Don’t think I’ll ever fathom what this ‘fanbase’ has against Ben.

He’s somehow not good enough to play for us, yet good enough to go to Chelsea for £50-70m+ and we’ll be able to replace him with a better player for less.
