Probably just ruined his England call-up chances with that honking performance which is unfortunate. Needs to work on his set pieces, I swear they were his strength once upon a time..

He's had a bad match (and still helped set up a great goal) after an excellent six weeks.

 

Let's not try and sell him just yet.

Why would a player miles off the England squad, who thinks he's better than he is be attracting bids of £80mill then?

Gave a strong if not cocky interview talking himself into England Set up! 
 

southgate turns up and he plays like a blind baby donkey ,utterly dire performance 

 

consistency is a huge issue for James and if he wants to be an England international he will need to improve 100%  

 

if you talk the talk madders you have to learn to walk the walk

Exactly this. 

 

It takes balls to stand on the side and name pundits and talk about England call ups. 

 

Keep your mouth shut and let your football do the talking.

 

He looked so half arsed today. The only thing that's different is that he probably knows he won't get subbed off with Dennis and JV out.

This was the day he HAD to turn up, turn it on, and make us a realistic challenger.....just like he described very eloquently in his last interview. However, the longtime lack of consistency turned up instead. He HAS to learn to deal with pressure at the top. At the moment he can’t.

He isn’t consistent and that’s the issue. Top players are consistent, they have a couple bad games a season not a lot.
