I thought he was very tidy and assured. Can’t believe I’m saying this, but it was noticeable having two wing backs working the channels effectively. (Ps Very sorry Ricky I don’t mean to blaspheme)

I think he will be great competition for James Justin in 2 or 3 years but he isn't prem ready yet.

I was willing Nacho to slip him in late on while unmarked. He would've had a great chance to smash in his first Premier League goal. I can't blame Kelechi for taking the shot on though with the form he's in.

It been a year since his debut and imo he hasn’t improved at all attacking wise

 

One year you would expect a bit of improvement attacking wise

 

Defending he made improvements over the year  

 

Also did notice our players reluctant to pass to him

Why do you hate him so much? Has he fingered your missus?

Seemed like he was asked to play a bit more reserved and provide balance as we focused our attack on the opposite side. Very professional performance.

He is 19 ffs, are you expecting him to be flying up and down the wing like Castagne?

Iheanacho passes this rather than going for the shot and Thomas is well into the box with a chance to shoot

 

 

He was also instrumental in Nachos goal with the pass down the line to Vardy, who is much more effective down that left when he has space to run into, Thomas overlaps and it becomes more congested and less space for Vardy to work in

 

Most of his average position is exactly the same as Castagne, Thomas is Top, Castagne is bottom

He’s a very natural footballer, the way he receives the ball is excellent, his composure and technique are all there already. The only thing he really lacks is pace, everything else will come with time. Being critical of somebody that’s made ~25 senior appearances and looked more comfortable than could be expected in 20 of them is disappointingly stupid.

 

His one on one defending is likely better than Chilwell’s already and his positioning is too. He lacks the dynamism Chilwell did but he’s a more astute player generally and within a year or two he’ll probably be a more convincing, if not eye catching left back.

We sold Chilwell for 50 big ones a season ago and we have Thomas, Justin and Castagne who can all play there and do just as good a job, if not better. 

 

Of the four players, I have only accused one of slowing down our play and failing to see a pass, and he doesn't play for Leicester any more.

....he was in effect man marking Phillips!!!

He held his position and won the aerial matchup and was solid all round.

Has looked solid in every game hes played this season apart from the Arsenal one. If he develops his attacking game and overlapping he could be some player.
