I was concerned before this game, but it looks a case of men v boys. I’m sure they’ll have a good spell, but I think we can stretch the lead further in the second half.

I know they're missing Grealish but that was very comfortable. 

Very happy with that half and good to see Ricardo and Castagne linking up nicely. Ricardo finding a lot of space at times, very good at doing that. 

Thomas handling Traore well but also linking with Barnes productively as well. 

 

Barnes getting involved in the goals again is positive to see

Luke Thomas was excellent and nice linking with Harvey. Timmy looks good. Not quite certain whether the Riccy forward role is working as well as perhaps hoped yet. But good half and they miss Grealish big time.

Very good 45, love the set up and positive nature. Timmy and Luke playing very well, Youri dictating. Need that third. Vardy being well marshalled, more opportunities for Madders and Harvey?

Enjoying this. Had a Belhaven Black (new one on me) and watching the boys boss it.

The first 25 minutes were the best we've been ok the ball in a while. Helped by Villa putting no pressure on but we moved it quicky and the movement was great. Slowed down a bit as half went on, game isn't over.

 

Brilliant from Thomas else its a very different story.

Our movement and passing has been so much better today with lots of big performances from us.

We need to stay on the front foot - they look weak when we go at them. Passing is crisper than it’s been for a while. Best game I think I’ve  seen Thomas have.

Standouts for me, Thomas is looking like an absolute gem. Loving the linkup with Barnes, he's comfortable on the ball, good decisions, good positions off the ball.

 

Loving the Castagne/Ricardo/Youri stuff going on.

I missed the first goal as the stream frozen just when Timmy was challenging for a high ball near to right side touchline in our half.  What was the transition of play leading to the goal?

great first half from Leicester! Can see Rodgers looking for a 3rd goal then making changes at 60 mins to see the game out and try to give a few players a bit of rest
