The "top 6" phrase needs to change, as they aren't the "top 6" anymore. They're the "money 6" at most.

That's why its "big 6: :p

I think that's pretty unfair - they're all in a c**t of a position, and the players probably barely know what's going on.

Of course players know what's going on, they've got TVs and radios. That doesn't make it their fault that their clubs have agreed these awful plans but let's not get romantic that players will take an altruistic view of it all. Marcus Bean, giving a players' perspective on the Guardian Football Weekly podcast, said that most players at the Big 6 won't care - it'll mean they don't have to play clogging teams like Burnley and Palace any more and they will get paid even more money.

If there was the chance of promotion to this super league you’d probably get a few clubs going quiet with regards to sporting integrity..

the only way it stops is the players stopping it, no one else matters

I’m not sure what role player power has in all this.

Players at ESL clubs stand to gain huge salaries in the future. Future ESL players will earn loads.

Oh no, I don't think for a minute that they will. But it remains pointless attacking them because who they are employed by (and I heard that podcast too).

Has LCFC said anything official yet?

We'll make our point at the meeting tomorrow.

Club doesn't tend to speak publicly on things like this, it didn't when the Big Picture crap was the news.

This all has a feel of when you booted the ball into someone’s garden and had to go and ask for it back knowing they’re going to be absolute pricks about it.

I really really hope you're right. Because even if they want them back, you can't just accept them back as if nothing happened.

Pretty pointless and pathetic if you ask me - wear them for the cameras by all means, but for now at least, everyone below the highest echelon of clubs are entirely innocent.

You mean they kept their gobs shut!

Madders might get in the England squad now by default 🙈😂

Could the government refuse to license policing the games for the big 6? They’d have no choice but to f**k off to the desert or Far East as they won’t be able to play here.

Rodgers to spurs a strong chance if this happens. He won't want to miss out on the top table.

Not sure this super league can claim to be the top table with Arsenal and Spurs included but the likes of Bayern and PSG not.

Will be interesting if a manager walks over this though. Klopp going might be a possibility.

He gets paid more than most already. As it stands I don't think anyone will be looking to get involved with this shit show.
