EFL Officiating Abomination Journal 23/24

Their pen was clearly outside the box, he was going to give their player another yellow but stopped when he saw he already had a yellow! Yet again another woeful ref with so many decisions going against us!

Called it in midweek. We are going to be on the end of some honking decisions. Players all surrounding the ref says it all. Even though we aren’t allowed to complain about referees in this thread he was an absolute embarrassment. Gave them as many niggles as possible but let all of them go when they were against us.

Missed their penalty so can't comment (if someone has a pic of whether in box or not would be great).

Seri sending off is clear, and it's an obvious bottle job from the ref. Standard is horrific in this division.

There has been and still is a clear and conscious effort by the EFL and officials with their scheduling and in play decisions to ensure we didn’t end up with 110pts+.

The bias has been palpable, especially since boxing day.

The two Penalties evened themselves out.

But for me Vards' second half was clear, PL defo a pen

And the blatant red card they should have got.

I think stopping the play when there player had been kicked on the foot and then not doing it when Winks was kicked in the head showed that he doesn't understand the laws

Thought the penos were similar, both soft but I don't think either set of fans can really complain about them.

What annoyed me was the guy blocking the quick free kick towards the end and the ref trying to insert himself into every situation in stoppage time.

And this fella has been fast tracked up the ladder to the Prem because he is the best coming through, says a lot about the shite that is the remainder if so. Bottled making any big decisions, even the grappling at the corners in the end of the game there was no chance he has the courage to do anything about it.

Problem is all our games are being moved to prime time kick offs and on the tele now, so we're going to get the crap down from the prem for the rest of the season.

There were several instances of players being grappled, arms around them, and no foul given. In and out of the box.  The one on KDH in the corner the worst example.

He missed a shirt pull on Fatawu on the edge of the box, 5 yards in front of him, probably because he was busy congratulating himself for denying Vardy a penalty (I thought the initial tackle was not a penalty, but second tackle on Vardy looked like a foul).

He stopped the game and pointed to his head for the Hull player who had an ankle injury. lol

It felt like the opening 20 minutes of the second half had about 3 minutes of play. He stopped the game repeatedly.

And I accept that Seri on a yellow had the ball kicked at him from three yards, but just before that, Seri had jumped in front of the free kick to block it.  Should have been a second yellow.  It's a second yellow all day in the Prem.

Very, very poor, in what is turning into a season of this stuff.

The Seri bottle job will surely ensure the ref has a week off next week. A clear bookable offence, the ref actually goes to book him, realises, he’s already booked him (for a bad deliberate foul) and actually stopped with his hand on his card in his pocket. His quick but obvious change of mind went against the laws of the game.

He fell for the feel a touch and drop in on the ball tactic by Coyle EVERY time. Then KDH gets manhandled by the same Coyle, drops on the ball and the ref gives a freekick to Hull ffs. We all know what happened next. Totally out of his depth.

So the Prem don't like us, the FPL don't like us, they are both trying to rewrite their FFP rules to screw us over if possible, Leeds are getting opponents red carded and getting away with murder every week, while every game we are getting bad decisions going against us consistently, expecially every time we are on TV, and against top of the table opposition.

It's ok, it will even itself out, nothing sinister going on here at all.

cant blame him, the last 5 games(inc. bournemouth) the officials have been frankly awful, and thats being kind; in 3 of them games massive decisions have gone against us, costing points(in my view)

as said, the whole standard of officials in this country is on the floor, by far the worst we've seen in many a year
