Met an ex board member (seriously) who had been well-respected at the club today, and he said it's Shakespeare - but, as mentioned by some on here, the issue is down to some legal issues.

Nice someone's getting the same info.

apparently the legal issue is.

The club have checked and revealed the fact Shakey does not qualify to play in the AFCON.

Shakey has had to apply for an african passport and prove he's African.

Once this issue is sorted out it will be announced.

They are waiting for planning permission before extending his contract whilst at the same time being baffled why the ground extension is not yet proceeding as planned:ph34r:

Ive heard Shakey wants to swap the Kop  with the family stand, so... this could take a while

Will he get a place in the Europa league for it?

Apparently Shakespeare can only write with a quill, Rudkin's called all the Ryman stores in the east Midlands to no avail.

Unless the club are looking at anyone else the time this is taking is a bit worrying for transfer business. This must be the easiest negotiation possible. He wants the job no doubt so if the club want him it really can't be that hard to sort out quickly.

So basicly no one not even those I.T.K  know fvck all . Can't we leave it there until an announcement is made ?

If you don't want to read what some say with nothing apparently done, don't read the thread until any announcement becomes official?

Personally I'm disappointed at the lack of baseless drivel.  Only 22 pages, you can do better folks :)

Think Friday will be the day when Rudkin ends his temporary job as Theresa May's political advisor

I have heard that nothing's being done until Shakey approves the new pitch designs when it's mowed.

Could be a rolling contract.

Hobson's choice. Give so much responsibility to Gray and Chilwell in such an important match and you get novices exposed to ridicule.

I'm sure Shaky will have weighed your suggestion but the bottom line is that neither have showed themselves flawless by any means.

Chilwell, for all his considerable promise, has made two or three  mistakes which have contributed to us losing goals while Gray hasn't really shown any great promise in getting behind defences for a long time - and certainly not for more than a a fraction  of the 20-25 minutes he's any threat at all.

I truly wish it were different and the case for their use was stronger. Chilwell's improved as a player, no question, but I don't think he'd have made a great difference while Gray just hadn't made a case from anything I've watched

As for our next manager you mention some decent names but we can only wait and see.  I do wish they'd get on with it whatever. My feeling is they might just be sifting through applicants, a tiresome process, but I suppose it's due process. .

Yes it's all if's and buts now as it too late to do anything about it, I just feel Shakey wasted an opportunity but that's football we all can see it differently.

I agree with you on Gray. He needs to keeps his mouth shut and head down and work hard. While showing flashes of brilliance at times he hasn't produced it often enough to warrent a starting position. I've seen and worked with others who've had as much or more skill and still didn't make for various reasons.

Chilwell on the other hand is developing into a really good player although defending seems to be the weakest part of his game. But he's still young and has time to learn on the Job. I like how strong he's starting to look physically and he will only get better.

Personally I'd play him in the Albrighton role on the left with Fuchs as full back. And i'd move Albrighton to the right. I think this would strengthen and Balance both wings both defensively and going forward.

The Managers position is turning into a bit of a Saga. I'd say the issue is over length of contract. The Club are probably offering two and he's probably looking for 3 or 4 years.

If it were me I'd make it a performance related contract. With Bonus incentives for league position and cup runs. And something similar with Players Contracts.

If we got to pre season and hadn't appointed a manager, who would be in charge?

The head groundsman might cut it, .

Do you not think that some people perhaps know but aren't in a position to say anything ?

Maybe they would like to keep their jobs

Shakey still has an assistant managers contract with two years remaining so shakey would.

I hear that the delay is due to his chosen assistant currently discussing terms, our own living legend Gary McAllister

After three everyone...

Shakes and Mac, will put the freshness back, do the shakes and Mac to bring the trophies back, they'll do well in the league and in the cups too, give them both a contract, it's all we need to do.....

22 pages done, 48 to go...

The owners are great but the organisation off the club is still terrible. Clubs around us starting to buy players and as it stands we don't even have a manager.

The silence from the club is deafening and there's a real risk now if a third disastrous transfer window for us.

Now I am not so sure,,,,

Mmmm...Craig Shakespeare? really...?
