Wymsey Posted 13 April 2018 Posted 13 April 2018 Reckon Man Utd will be on the watch if Mata and/or Pogba leave.

foxfanazer Posted 13 April 2018 Posted 13 April 2018 Loved Drinky but I’m of the opinion we need to move on some of the title winners now so re-signing one isn’t the way to go. Always defended him against the critics but he was quite inconsistent at times. For a cut price fee i wouldn’t be too disappointed 1

woznotwos Posted 14 April 2018 Posted 14 April 2018 I take pleasure in the fact that he is on the bench at Chelsea. I figure he will now be in a wage trap and will remain sat there , fingers crossed. 1

Nick Posted 14 April 2018 Posted 14 April 2018 Is he injured as he hasn’t even made the bench today for their match against Southampton?
woznotwos Posted 14 April 2018 Posted 14 April 2018 Maybe what he has said about reviewing his options upset someone.
sishades Posted 14 April 2018 Posted 14 April 2018 He couldnt wait to jump ship for the bright lights of London. As far as I am concerned the expression "jog on kitty" is applicable here. Iborra or DD? No brainer.
Dr The Singh Posted 14 April 2018 Posted 14 April 2018 He won't come back, end up at Southampton or Bournemouth
Royston. Posted 14 April 2018 Posted 14 April 2018 Yes but mainly cos he'd cost about half as much we sold him for. 1
splinterdream Posted 14 April 2018 Posted 14 April 2018 no, i don't think he's any better than we already have
davieG Posted 15 April 2018 Posted 15 April 2018 Antonio Conte has admitted that Danny Drinkwater is having an “unlucky” first season at Chelsea FC following his move from Leicester City last summer. The England midfielder has endured something of a disappointing and frustrating start to his career at the west London club after having signed from the Foxes on deadline day last summer. Drinkwater has struggled for both form and fitness and he has found his first-team opportunities to be severely restricted in recent months. Indeed, the 28-year-old has only started five Premier League games for Chelsea FC so far this season and 12 games in all competitions. Drinkwater has scored one goal for the Blues and will be hoping to stake his claim for a regular spot in the first team in the closing stages of the campaign. And Conte has opened up about Drinkwater’s struggles this season following his move to the club from Leicester City last summer. Speaking at a news conference at Cobham on Friday before Chelsea FC’s trip to Southampton in the Premier League, Conte told reporters: “Danny is having an unlucky season. “He started this season with a problem in his calf, then he continued to have problems. “Now he is struggling with a problem in the groin. We are talking about a good midfielder, a good player. I trust him.” Chelsea FC are still aiming to try and finish the season with a trophy and they will take on Southampton in the FA Cup semi-finals at Wembley later this month.

There were rumours that he had a problem with his hip flexor that just wouldn't go away six months before we sold him. Maybe this is still a problem and the reason why he has all these new secondary injuries is because he overcompensates by trying to protect his hip flexor and puts more stress on the other body parts? He can probably still play football but maybe only ever at 95% as his range of movement isn't what it was as he tries to protect his body. Either way it was great business by the club selling him for £35m at his peak value.
