Mahrez to Man City shock

Must go down as the best transfer find in History? Certainly over 4 years

400k sold for 167.5 times as much

Not to mention his contribution to the club's recent successes.

Also not to mention the earnings off of his brand/likeness.  His personal accolades (PFA POTY, African POTY and 7th in balloon d'or nominations) have surely increased the reputation of the club

Why is Fulham being mentioned on here?

They've submitted a late bid. Al Fayed has offered us their entire winnings from the play-off final (£120m) as he reckons their squad is good enough to qualify for Champions League with Riyad as their only signing.

These new figures are better than 50m and Roberts lol

There are a large number of ways to go around a circle .......... we won’t know the detail so they could well be the nett numbers .........I’m  sure they renegotiated the deal last minute to make sure FT members were happy ...........

If it can reach £75m with reasonable add-ons and he has dropped his loyalty bonus then time to say goodbye (good buy?).

if the adds on are for Mahrez scoring a Hattrick at each of the next three champions league finals, then nah.

lets get this and Roberts done and focus on trimming the squad.

The reality is that none of us actually know what the fee is, and are unlikely to find out as it will probably be announced as undisclosed.

Too true. Nor are we ever likely to find out what was holding the deal up (agent fees, loyalty bonus, etc etc etc)

Tbh, whilst I do wish him well, I will be glad to see him gone. He hasn't really been here for some time now anyway. The squad we have, and are still building, need to focus and Mahrez was a distraction. The king is dead etc, we move on.
