That would be a disastrous move... one possibly maybe but both? no way jose
FoxFossil Posted 10 March 2019 Posted 10 March 2019 Rodgers probably only here until a 'better' offer comes along, three years max. Likely to be similar for Tielemans if we can do a deal involving Silva. However as we can see, a lot of progress can be made in three years, and we'd make a packet on Tieleman after a good World cup for Belgium. Make it so.

Crossing has a great deal to improve on and his lack of concentration at times lets him down defensively, like yesterday. Very talented and will hopefully get even better but can be frustrating, especially the turning back thing.
ozleicester Posted 10 March 2019 Posted 10 March 2019 Oh my goodness, just saw the interview on facebook... my Mahrez love is heading toward to Youri
mozartfox Posted 10 March 2019 Posted 10 March 2019 If we refrain from dishing out sentimental contracts, we can use this cash to help finance this move. That is why we must move on and let go of the past in respect of several cases, regardless of history. Teams that hang on to past achieving players too long, get over-taken.

Can you really see a top 6 club coming in for Rodgers?

richardsfoxes Posted 10 March 2019 Posted 10 March 2019 I hope we're negotiating with Monaco now and have something in place for the summer, such a exciting player and will only get better. Just hope he won't be prized from us by a bigger club if keeps these performances up.

Ric Flair Posted 10 March 2019 Posted 10 March 2019 2 hours ago, That_Dude said: Maguire yes, but you'd let our best LB go? We don't even have a proper back-up. Tielemans is a must sign, we'd revert to our old midfield problem otherwise and there are not many of his quality for 40M. Even more so when you consider his age. Go all out for him. Yes I'd still let him go as we will just buy another one. Chilwell is not worth the money being quoted, so if Man City are stupid enough to pay £50-60m for him then snap their hand off.

katieakita Posted 10 March 2019 Posted 10 March 2019 Think the savings on moving on a few or not offering new contracts to the likes of Simpson, CF, Shinji and moving on Slimani and Silva among others will cover the transfer fee over the contract. Not going to be paying £40 million up front and we also got around £9 million for Iborra and a saving on wages and moved on Benny again freeing up wages
baldeagle Posted 10 March 2019 Posted 10 March 2019 Thought he was excellent again yesterday . It also seems like he’s really happy here and settled in well with the others which will all help if we do try to sign him permanently
Stevosevic Posted 10 March 2019 Posted 10 March 2019 Surely we can get this done with both clubs wanting a player from each other.
ScouseFox Posted 10 March 2019 Posted 10 March 2019 would be proper leicester if we sold them silva and they sold tielemans to someone better than us
Gerard Posted 10 March 2019 Posted 10 March 2019 13 hours ago, That_Dude said: No, we won't. We either pay the full price or he's gone. Gone where? We won't pay £40m. Either an elite level club comes in for him and he'll go there anyway or the only offer for him is a club like us. Monaco will want rid and if the only offers are clubs like ours then they can't expect £40m. Only 12 clubs in Europe have ever paid more than £40m for a player, it's not pocket change.
HybridFox Posted 10 March 2019 Posted 10 March 2019 Would some of the fee not be offset by potential Silva move that way? Silva plus £15/20 million seems reasonable enough for Tielemans. thoughts?

I'd be happy to pay Monaco's £40m valuation of Tielemans if they agreed a part exchange with Silva and they agreed our valuation of Silva was the £22m we paid for him.
HesNotGudjonsonn2 Posted 11 March 2019 Posted 11 March 2019 I think he looks pretty damn good and if the management decide they want to buy him then I don’t care how much he costs.....it isn’t my money.
