Tielemans

Interesting if we do break our transfer record. That will be our usual budget gone and it has been reported we want 5 new players.

Maguire off or is Top going to be putting money in for transfers?

it's clearly his best option to be playing regular football on a high level. Although some or maybe even most players might be blinded by the 'big name' teams like United and others.

I seen a bit of your game versus Scotland the other day. i noticed Tielemans was under instruction to play a lot deeper than he does at Leicester and allow Hazard and De Bruyne to be the creators.

This could be what his position could be at a bigger club whereas at Leicester he is given much more license to be more creative and take chances. I can see the attraction of a big club especially by young quality players who believe in their own ability but by coming here he knows he's going to one of the main men and play in a position he loves. Join a club like Man Utd and six months later he might be regretting it as he's asked to play in a position that restricts him.

reports in belgian newspapers saying a deal with Leicester will be reached very soon. They are pushing hard to get the deal done. Silva will be part of the deal. United en Spurs showed interest but did not make any offers yet. Tielemans does not want to wait.

How reputable are the papers/journalists?  Will we exceed out club record even with Silva lumped in? Very pleased with the news, thanks for sharing

Leicester are both geniuses and idiots in equal amounts. It's one of the reasons why following the club is so much fun!

Vardy - 1M

Mahrez - 650K. Sold for 60m. (The club was brought for 50m!)

Kante - 8m. Sold for 32m, won the League twice, the FA Cup, the World Cup, The Europa League.

Compared to:

Slimani - 30m

Musa - 16m

Silva - 22m

Nacho - 22m

14/15 - Bottom of the table for 8 months, spend the most amount of time bottom by a team in the Premier League to go on and survive.

15/16 - Win the league and only lose 3 games after losing our best player (Cambiasso) in the summer and firing our manager.

16/17 - Fighting relegation after firing our only manager to have won us the league in 130+ years 8 months after winning it. (Which was the right decision).

If you've ever wondered why people are so emotional on these forums, you really can't blame them. Following Leicester is literally more dramatic than watching a soap opera!

I'd add Drinky in there purely for the profit made, was it a purchase of £800,000 and a sale of £35,000,000? Outstanding!

Virtually in the bag ...   and no one going so let’s move to the next bit ..   who else coming in ...  Sturridge ?? ...  or Mr Bale ???

There's nothing worse than a long drawn out summer saga for a loan player you desperately want to sign, remember a similar scenario with us with Patrick Roberts.  Hopefully Leicester can go and get this one done quickly.

I think his price tag probably helps us to be honest. It's high enough that I think it's put off a lot of clubs that were interested but probably not for a starter.

It's a lot of money even for Bayern, Spurs want a finished product and United have a lot of building to do.

Champions League next season is a realistic proposition if we sign Tielemans and one or two more our first team is strong.

I'm not so sure next season, top 6 is more realistic.  As good as your first IX is the top 4 of City, Liverpool, Spurs and Chelsea have far more strength in depth.

He's a reasonably well respected journalist isn't he? I mean he's not exactly Sean from Enderby.
