FoxyPalace.com Posted 2 August 2019 Posted 2 August 2019 £80 plus £5 Million addons, I will take it all day. Well Played club and OH United LOL
lifted*fox Posted 2 August 2019 Posted 2 August 2019 we've had their pants down tbqh. If Maguire is worth £85m then I'm worth at least £10m just for getting out of fvcking bed in the morning. we should get a decent replacement and move on. that's all it needs because he was decent, but that's it. got turned often, a little bit too slow and often caught out of position. there will be nowhere for him to hide at united. as someone else said, no malice towards him but hope he does a drinkwater and it'll further prove 'grass ain't always greener' at the 'big' clubs. thanks Harry! Bye, don't let the door... etc.

Like any product or service, it’s supply and demand. Man Utd want to sign a player from us and we have no real driver to sell other than the opportunity to get a significant transfer fee. Man Utd issues are compounded by a) their openness in desperately wanting Harry b) The fact they have no CB of the required standard, and a recent injury c) a track record of over spending. This is simple business and Leicester hold all the cards. The level of entitlement from Man Utd is unbelievable. Yes there is a human aspect to this deal but, and I’m sure Harry recognises this, he is paid extremely well, playing international football at a club which is progressing. I’m sure he wants to play for Man Utd but equally he made a commitment last summer, one which gives Leicester the control to set a fee they think is fair. I think the club have been nothing but professional. "entertainment"
Gazza M Posted 2 August 2019 Posted 2 August 2019 Great bringing the ball out. Brilliant in the air. Turns like the QE2 and lacks pace. He is no Virgil Van Dyk. Great business based more on his England appearances than anything.
jeffschlupp Posted 2 August 2019 Posted 2 August 2019 Read the first few pages of the thread about £65m being the mooted fee. Plenty of us said that's ridiculous money, snap their hand off. We've only gone and got £15-20m more.

EnderbyFox Posted 2 August 2019 Posted 2 August 2019 Failed Medical incoming, his head is just too damn large 1 1
Always Next Year Posted 2 August 2019 Posted 2 August 2019 (edited) To all you Man U fans on here thank you very much for paying for our new training centre Edited 2 August 2019 by Always Next Year Spelling 1 1
goose2010 Posted 2 August 2019 Posted 2 August 2019 gutted he looks to have gone but that kind of money is outrageous if he is worth that how much is Jonny Evans worth these days! 100+ surely !!

And we've lost our best defender, our only real threat at set pieces, our only defender who can bring it out from the back, gain territory and link the defence to the midfield. And strengthened a direct rival. Annnnnnnd we're only going to have to spend half of it on a sub par replacement. We've just diddled Man Utd, now let's watch Burnley/Brighton do the same to us. Your last point is very valid, we may be laughing now, however, if we not think we can get Dunk for £45m easily, we've got another thing coming. As many have said, losing Kante and Mahrez was more devastating than losing Maguire... He's a good player, who's often the suspect for conceding poor goals. Edited 2 August 2019 by La-li-lu-le-lo
urban.spaceman Posted 2 August 2019 Posted 2 August 2019 He might still fail the medical, seeing as he had the shits the other day. 1
filbertway Posted 2 August 2019 Posted 2 August 2019 We've done very well out of this deal if we've managed to get that. Fair play to Harry for remaining professional and letting us eek as much money as possible out of the deal. I fancy we've already decided on our target (if required) should the deal materialise, so not too worried about that. Feel for big Harry though as he's going to be getting pelters when they realise he's not worth close to what they're paying. 1

VIKTOR-LE5 Posted 2 August 2019 Posted 2 August 2019 Thank puck for that, now who we bringing, United might have just help fund the transfers to knock em out the top 6.

Popular Post StriderHiryu Posted 2 August 2019 Popular Post Posted 2 August 2019 If Manchester United think we've been taking the piss for the price of Maguire, just wait till they see the price we quote them for Tielemans next year. The management deserve a massive pat on the back. There is literally no more expensive defender in world football history than Harry Maguire. Not Bobby Moore, not Maldini, Baresi, Beckenbauer, but Harry bloody Maguire. They literally could not have done any better. Maguire is a good player whom I very much liked, but he is nowhere near the "triple crown" levels of Vardy, Mahrez and Kante. In fact in our current team, I would say that Vardy, Tielemans, Ricardo and Evans are all better players than him. Can we continue without him? We will find a way, be it new signing or not. 13

We told them our price weeks ago and they've failed to get anywhere near it. I honestly don't think we'll budge, which means Man Utd's only two options are to pay what we want or look elsewhere. And according to some reports, they're not prepared to stump up the £90m up front that we're asking. In which case Maguire stays. Anyways... you were saying bud? ?
Popular Post Ric Flair Posted 2 August 2019 Popular Post Posted 2 August 2019 Hahahahahahaaaaaa this is extraordinary, Man Utd are the gift that keep on giving. Hopefully they'll come in for Ndidi next summer for half a billion. As far as i'm concerned, Maguire for us isn't as indispensable as Vardy is or Mahrez was up to a point. He's also not really achieved any tangible success with us either so the thought of losing him doesn't bother me at all. That might sound callous or harsh but that's just how I feel in an era where we have experienced the most unimaginable highs and are following that up with sustained growth to the club. I thank him for his service, he will always get my support in an England shirt where I believe he is a colossus compared to what he is with us. Now give Brendan all of it and go and get Leon Bailey, Ziyech or Hirving Lozano. PAAAAARTY AND BULL SHIT 12
Sunbury Fox Posted 2 August 2019 Posted 2 August 2019 This goes to show that it is ultimately impossible to break the natural food chain in football unless you are owned by a country like Man City. We have a better manager and arguably a better first XI than them but Maguire couldn't wait to leave. Ho hum. Will be interesting to see what we do with the money. 1
Rusko187 Posted 2 August 2019 Posted 2 August 2019 In other news, Harry Maguire rejects United citing he preferred a move to Manchester City instead. £85m is amazing, excellent business by the club.

Always Next Year Posted 2 August 2019 Posted 2 August 2019 We have 5 or 6 goal scores that will be busting a gut to turn him inside out.
