It’s ridiculous that he’s been versatile and reliable enough to play LB, LWB, CB, RWB and RB, often within just one bloody game, then he goes and pulls a goal like that out his locker?! This kid is a very special talent.

He's like the Scandinavian utility players on Football Manager that you swear could never be that versiitle in real life.

He’s good but a wonder goal doesn’t ignore the fact he still has a lot to learn, a fully fit Ricardo is still way ahead of him

A fully fit Ricky is ahead but not way ahead. JJ has lots to learn but he seems to improve weekly..  He has mistakes in him still but his upside is incredible.

No hesitation in saying he's the best full back of all time.

Hang on. Ricky and Timmy may have a word to say about that.

Definitely (by a country mile) the best set of full backs we've had at the club.

We’ve done is again haven’t we, another gem signed up and progressing brilliantly. Can’t believe the difference in his game so quickly.

Not yet. But with his talent and effort he could be a contender. Crosses could be better and I think he will improve yet. If you go through our squad we have wonderful defenders, a well above average midfield ,near the best, and still one of the best strikers in the premier league. OK within a couple of years we 'll need a striker , sooner the better, but IMO Barnes and the rest of the midfield should mean we have time to develop or find one, provided Jamie keeps fit he's good enough to carry it on his own altho he'll probably need some help after a couple more seasons. If we could find someone of the same quality and attitude over the next two years that would be wonderful. If not and disaster strikes we may be rushed into buying a striker where attitude is suspect and that would IMO be more expensive than just the price . A good striker , working with JV , with luck should see us good maybe for another 4 seasons. OK by then he'll have lost a bit of pace (probably) but he'd still be dangerous.

what's not to like ! love the guy.

Absolutely delighted JJ has been performing well for you.

He's still loved at Luton, a genuine nice lad. An England call up can't be far away.

By the way can we have Dewsbury-hall on a permanent.

Remember when he came into the team last year, thought he was solid enough defensively but was a long way off being a competent attacking full back at this level.

He's been sensational. Him and Youri vying for our POTY so far and I'd give it JJ. Plays every week and performs wherever he's asked to play. What a bargain

Gone from solid to superb in an incredibly short space of time. Looks every inch a top tier premier league player and seems to be improving week on week.

Absolutely terrific attitude, and not short on talent as today's finish showed. And still only 22!

Love the bloke already and I have no doubt he'll continue to flourish here.

The only problem is how to utilise our three best full backs when they are all fit!

for me we are still not great at that rm/rw position and ricardo would fit there great with justin and castagne as the full backs

I'm just not sure if Ricardo is an out and out attacking right winger. He seems to be at his best when he's galloping forward.

To think he lost his dad only 9 months a go.

From what I've read his dad was a lovely bloke who supported him throughout his career and they were very close. JJ had to start filling in for Ricardo not too long after his death.

How proud his dad would be if he could see how he's dealt with everything and kicked on.

He's an inspiration.

Didn't release this at all. It makes his achievements this season phenomenal. To become one of the best right back in the Premier League after coming from the second division is one thing, but doing after all that? Amazing guy.
