No political discussion in this topic. That is complaining about a country, a politician, a party and/or its voters, etc

Refreshing those places have closed. A step I think was needed earlier but glad it's been done anyway.

Rishi is reassuring as well in his announcement. Especially when it comes to covering people's finances.

Far more responsible and assertive than Boris.

Whilst Boris is continuously lambasted spare a thought for the people of Russia:-

"Though President Vladimir Putin said earlier this week that the situation was "generally under control," many Russians have shown a distrust for official claims over the virus, and fear the true situation is much worse than they are being told"

You bet ya sweet 1s your being lied too comrade.

Also Iran & Syrian leaders said this was fake news from the West & everything will be ok by drinking holy water then 1 of them ironically dying within days of contracting CV19, they have ignored all advice these are the countries that will prolong this virus

Three months ago we were arguing about free broadband being unaffordable. Looks like we're all socialists now.

Speaking to Telegraph Sport, Austin said that his temperature soared to 39.7 degrees Celsius on Sunday and Monday nights and he simultaneously experienced cold sweats. “I felt like someone had chucked a bucket of water over me,” he said, “I was soaking.” He has made a recovery and has communicated with his team-mates at West Brom – second in the Championship and on course for promotion when the Championship was suspended last week – to warn them of the severity of the virus.

“Before I started feeling the symptoms on Saturday I was on the phone to my wife Bianca’s mother and I said to her that I hoped if anyone in our family got it that it would be me," he said. "I felt like I was fit and healthy and I could handle it. A week later and I would say to anyone, even those in their 20s and 30s – ‘Don’t take it lightly – it’s serious’. I get that people who haven’t got it are going about their lives. Last week, I was living my life. Not that I didn’t take coronavirus seriously. But this is extremely serious and we should take it that way.”

Austin suspects that he may have picked up the infection when he was at the Cheltenham Festival on Tuesday of last week, one of the last major sporting events to go ahead with around 250,000 spectators. He said that on Saturday night his wife Bianca noticed that he was coughing and he rang Conron concerned that it was coronavirus and that he might pass it on to his family. He was advised to isolate in his own room, with en-suite bathroom, and for wife Bianca to leave food and drinks outside.

It was on the Sunday and Monday night that he was at his worst, with those soaring temperatures and freezing sensations. Conron said that all the symptoms tallied with those of Covid-19. So far none of the rest of the West Brom squad have had the infection. Unlike Mikel Artetaand Callum Hudson-Odoi, both of whom have had coronavirus and have reported that their symptoms were mild, Austin said that the discomfort was extreme.

“The heat from my head was so intense,” he said of the Sunday and Monday nights, “I didn’t know what was going on. From Tuesday night as his condition improved he reported a fierce headache. From Wednesday his improvement has been steady. The family have also isolated in the house and all will do so for another week from Saturday as per the advice from government.

Sunak has been excellent so far, by far the most reassuring Minister we have whilst the rest of the cabinet led by Boris twaddle and stumble behind him.

Amazing to think Boris and Cummings picked a virtual unknown off the backbenches hoping he’d be easy to bend round their finger and he’s ended up not only being able to stand on his own but will be the only cabinet member to come out with a ounce of credibility lol

Will be a very tolerable leader of the Conservatives one day at this rate.

I'm struggling to decide who are the sensible ones - the folk taking extreme precautions like me, or the folk who are more laid back about the virus, and aren't taking that many extra precautions. When AIDS started, at least we knew that there was an easy way to protect ourselves. Protection against this is far more difficult.

Great for individuals but does nothing for retail and a lot of those restaurants, pubs etc ordered to close.

We’ve been working our nuts off this week trying to sort this mess out

You literally shut up shop, send people home and 80% of the wages are covered but you need sales or some form of income to cover all the other overheads. Suppliers need paying for stock that was delivered last month, we can hold back payments but that has a knock on effect on them and their suppliers. People aren’t going to rush out shopping in the current situation regardless of assurances on income.

A tough time for retail regardless with the Rent Quarter and Payroll due next week at the slowest time of the year.

Squeaky bum time!

Or anyone else that was in the pub!

Absolute dick heads. Selfish pricks.

Bet when they pass it on to their relatives, possibly elderly, they'll be straight on social media moaning that they've now got it and they need more help. Without an ounce of irony and/or awareness.
