FYI, if Slimani is going back to Sporting, there is still 3 weeks left of their transfer window, they are also not in any European competition so do not need to sign him in time for that, possible any deal for him could go on for a while yet

If there is a % sell on clause for Slimani, it wouldn't surprise me if Sporting signed him then tried to claim the cash from us, all £3.50 of it🤪

Why do folks seem convinced he's going to Sporting? And how come their window shuts later...?

Why it closes later... no clue

Read that as Spalding which is probably more his level.

Several google translations later, here's what was going on with Islam Slimani today.

Slimani's proposed transfer to Lyon seemed to depend on whether Memphis Depay left the club, as he was very strongly linked with Barcelona.

The Twitter consensus suggests that Depay will now not join Barcelona until at least January, so Lyon no longer require Slimani. So unless Sporting use their extra day to bring him to Portugal, he will be a Leicester player for a little while longer.

from what's just been said on Sky Sports News(im not 100%) the Portugese transfer window is still open for another 3 weeks, so there is still a chance Slimani could go tbh, more than likey loan
