Wesley Fofana: Signs For LCFC

Recommended Posts

On tunnel cam he hit the tunnel on the way back in through frustration I guess. Love that he cares that much already. He was great and has a great mentor in Evan's. The future looks bright with Wes and Cags at the back once Evan's retires.

So the article albeit from that shit rag is now doing the rounds that he wants to move to Marseille... his home town club.

Looks a very good prospect for us and he might have some interest in him sooner rather than later. Just remember some of you on here were creaming yourselves at the fact he handed a transfer request in and publicly made it clear he wanted to come here.

Should he do that to us... don't cry.

OM would have to conjure a miracle to find the coin to get a player so valuable.  They have been deep in the $hit since well before COVID.  Their owner already asset-stripped the Los Angeles Dodgers to the point where the baseball Commissioner had to seize control of the team when it entered bankruptcy.  I would not lose any sleep over this.

He had a good game but let's remember LCFC played very defensive game. The team's play was darn boring. LCFC carried the ball to the opponent's half in a meaningful way rarely.  Most of the time, the ball was in LCFC's half.

It’s a non story - like messi or Aguerro would like to finish their careers back in Argentina ........little wes dreams of one day running out at his home town club - assuming his career goes as it looks it might do, he can do that in his mid thirties ....

Fofana will pull the same routine on us that he did at St. Etienne in a couple of years, that’s a virtual lock.  But it sure as hell won’t be to go to Marseille, ROFL.

Ironically the injuries to Ricardo and Cags might have bought us another year with our young back four intact next season, if we’re lucky.  Ricardo, Fofana, Soyuncu, and Castagne would be a tremendously athletic and dangerous group, especially if they were working with a more tactically competent manager.

I'm not sure if it's possible to be a "bargain" when you cost 30m quid, but if such a thing exists... I think Fofana is one of them!

He is the real deal! I would have been happy had we signed Tarkowski, but this guy looks as good already and the upper potential on the kid is insane! He will surely be a French national team CB in the next few years.

Class!

Fantastic how well he's slotted in, doesn't show any fear or pressure. Can't remember any times where has dived in either, can't be many anyway. Sign of a top defender.

He will make a mistake at some point but he doesn't seem like someone who will be fazed by that.

Big fan after these first two games.
