Diabolical I was just hoping this was the case, because if Kalechi is fully fit and Brendan would rather play a winger up front, it sends a message of doom to him. I thought he played really well on Thursday and let's not forget that Barnes starred because Kalechi fed him. I hope this comes off. Edited 25 October 2020 by Vacamion

Wtf does Nacho have to do? Rodgers would rather play a short winger alone upfront, in a position he’s never played, while Nacho sits on the bench for the entire match :-/
murphy Posted 25 October 2020 Posted 25 October 2020 Brutal for Kelechi. Goal and two assists, no Vardy and he's still on the bench.

Wakeyfox Posted 25 October 2020 Posted 25 October 2020 Chill, we've got this. Arteta wouldn't have expected this. 3-1 win coming up
Dames Posted 25 October 2020 Posted 25 October 2020 5-5-0 against these is criminal. Rodgers losing his head against a so called big 6 team again. This is why we will never kick on under him. 1

fox_up_north Posted 25 October 2020 Posted 25 October 2020 Errrm...I mean...what does that say to both Slim and Nacho? "can we play today, boss, as our main striker is out and we want to step up" "Nah you're alright lads, I'll just whack a midfielder up top" 1

Lambert09 Posted 25 October 2020 Posted 25 October 2020 Think about it guys, we want to play on the break that only works with pace. Barnes is really the only option for the role 2

Forget raw pace. Barnes is not going to outrun Gabriel and the Arsenal defense (with Bellerin and Tierney) all by himself. Nacho can drop deep to pick up the ball, can hold up play, link play well, and pop in the occasional goal. Let’s show some ambition. Come on yer Foxes! Edited 25 October 2020 by NaijaFox

But, as I said I just don’t know why we change how we play so often to accommodate certain teams who aren’t even that good. 2

LCFCCHRIS Posted 25 October 2020 Posted 25 October 2020 Nacho doesn't really have the pace to be doing a Vardy run behind role anyway, if anything he's better off setting up our wingers. Surprised we've gone for that setup with no Ünder starting though unless it's his fitness still.

Spudulike Posted 25 October 2020 Posted 25 October 2020 Justin played as a centre back before. Fuchs at left back, I hope.

Collymore Posted 25 October 2020 Posted 25 October 2020 This is where our U23s really don't work. That squad provides no cover at all for the first team. I know Hirst is on loan l (he wouldn't get near the team in his current form anyway) but it does feel like there's no point of having a development squad if none of them can be developed to come in on occasions like this. Barnes has to be the least prolific forward we have and we're relying on him at the Emirates? This is in the same book as Puel playing Gray as the Talisman IMO.
foxfanazer Posted 25 October 2020 Posted 25 October 2020 Barnes biggest strength is his positioning and ability to take on a full back. He'll be doubled up on and isolated up top 1
FoxesWalk Posted 25 October 2020 Posted 25 October 2020 Is this Barnes’ first audition for replacing Vardy then? Sharpen that finishing and he has everything else required IMO. 3
