Unfortunately he just isn't that good. Puel and Rodgers know a thing or two about improving young players.

He made his debut 3 and a half years ago. In that time we've seen so many players his age group improve significantly. Maddison, Barnes, Chilwell, Justin, Soyuncu. Hamza has stood still more or less. He's still the same player that made his debut in September 2017.

...you are not going oust Wilf from being the number one choice!!!

He can not merit game time, in the position that he plays. Just looking at the other listed players, who was previously in front of them in their positions.

Chilwell ousted Fuchs. The only other one is Justin but that was due to injury to Ricardo. I get your point and I agree but even Rodgers was ready to offload him.

I do think he’s a decent squad player. However he has his limitations. As good as he is tackling and good position play defensively his passing distribution is poor. He had an opportunity to put a cross in against wolves in the second half just outside their box and he went backwards. I know you can’t compare him to Ndidi but they are polar opposites. Ndidi can tackle, go past a player and play a decent pass forward. Mendys tackling and passing is also better although he lacks the physicalIty of Hamza. Chodury tackles and passes backwards. I give chodury credit for stepping up and coming in but I’d be surprised if he’s here next season.

...so much so that he played him the next game after the Transfer Window closes and plays in in the next game after that!!!

Was that a sop, to appease Hamza or just utilising the squad?

He did well under the circumstances. He's clearly very rusty and was visibly nervous - trying not to let his manager's faith in him completely dissipate. It's not his job to compensate for the lack of attacking acumen against Wolves. He had his hands full with a very rapid and strong wolves side who were on a bounce. There were fairly poor performances from many of his colleagues exposing Choudhary more often than anyone would have liked.

O the.commentary yesterday, I think it was said that Choudhury's grandad used to take him everywhere to watch Leicester.  I thought I had read he wasn't a fan ( it is possible that both are true and his grandad is more discerning).

I believe Barnes and Thomas are fans (Vardy and Scmeichel should have come round by now)

It was his uncle who took him to matches. He could be a fan of more than one team?

We will see in the summer, but i think it may be strategic and the minutes he's getting now are as much about keeping him in the shop window as man management and rotation.

Interesting snippet from the Mercury ...   I have mentioned above, as have others, that Hamza doesn't look good enough for us now but BR obviously sees things quite differently ...   maybe that's why I'm an armchair pundit and BR is a top level coach ...   in Brendan I trust !! ...

(Or maybe it's because we didn't sell him).

Not so sure, felt Leeds walk though I midfield at times.

His given us a lot of energy against Fulham and Wolves.

I will confess first of all that I was a bit of a Choudhury doubter but his last few appearances have changed my mind. His overall game has improved in my opinion .  I'm starting to buy into the theory that if a player is prepared to work Brendan will improve them.

I think he has stepped well since the loan move fell through. His performance levels have been greatly improved and dare I say he has pushed ahead of Mendy in pecking order.

He definitely brings energy to our game especially when he get push further forward rather than being the holding midfielder, his pressing and tempo gives us another option.

I would be tempted to play a midfield diamond on Sunday against Villa and get Hamza to do a job on Grealish
