I suppose a postponement would give Wilf and Vardy a bit longer recovery time. I thought this aswell however I thought it’s announced when premier league footballers have COVID. 1

The Bear Posted 5 February 2021 Posted 5 February 2021 We've had injuries for a few weeks now, though they're slowly getting better. Nuno has mentioned "problems we'll have to assess" for a few consecutive games now so I wouldn't read anything into that.
Stadt Posted 5 February 2021 Posted 5 February 2021 Hope Under plays because neither Albrighton or Perez really have the pace to go beyond Iheanacho often enough. If the concern is that he doesn't track back enough then it's less important against a side that plays with a five at the back. 2

Liverpool playing Man City and Everton playing Man Utd. A win for us and the Manchester clubs pushes us all away from the pack, good for our top 4 aspirations. Either of the Manchester clubs drop points we are in the perfect place to jump one or close the gap to the other. A massive game which could have a massive impact on the teams mentality for the rest of the season, a loss and teams closing on us could have the it's happening again effect. I know I'm stating the obvious but i really think this weekend could define the second half of the season. This is exactly the sort of situation that unfortunately we have bottled over the last couple of seasons. Hopefully not this time 6

Mark 'expert' Lawrenson Posted 5 February 2021 Posted 5 February 2021 I’m expecting Albrighton to come in for Perez, although I’d like to see Under get a start, the rest should remain the same as the Fulham game.
StanSP Posted 5 February 2021 Posted 5 February 2021 Kasper Ricardo - Evans - Soyuncu - Justin Mendy - Tielemans Albrighton - Maddison - Barnes Vardy The team almost picks itself like that. Resigned to Under not starting until probably against Slavia Prague. Iheanacho did well on Wednesday but Vardy has to play if he's fit. Has to start at least and hopefully Iheanacho, if he comes on, can play like he did against Fulham. Wolves are much better opposition than Fulham and will obviously be on a high after the win over Arsenal. Ricardo back for us is such a big bonus. Comfortable on Wednesday and excited to see him again. Fancy him for a goal... If Ndidi is fit then he obviously starts over Mendy. Here's hoping Youri and Maddison can continue their good form. Expect Barnes to have more success in being direct and on the ball than Wednesday. Fulham's defensive style restricted him and he was marked out of most of the game.
Dr The Singh Posted 5 February 2021 Posted 5 February 2021 I'm expecting big Dan to be the star of this match, even may get a hatrick. 1 1

Popular Post kingfox Posted 5 February 2021 Popular Post Posted 5 February 2021 That is the look of a man, who knows he’s coming off the bench on Sunday to score the winner. 10
Popular Post Raw Dykes Posted 5 February 2021 Popular Post Posted 5 February 2021 I think I'd start Kel in this. Deserves it off the last game, and I don't want to risk rushing Vardy back. Bring Vardy on for the last 20 or 30 if we need a goal. Don't want to rush Ndidi back, either. Not really sure which of Hamza or Mendy I'd pick in his place. Hamza did alright against Fulham, but Mendy is the better player. I think Mendy might be more suited to this game. I think I'd probably put Albrighton back in, but won't be shocked to see Ayoze again. Kasper Ricardo Evans Soyuncu JJ Mendy Youri Albrighton Maddison Barnes Nacho Subs: Ward, Amartey, Fuchs, Thomas, Ndidi (Leshabela if Wilf's not ready), Hamza, Under, Perez, Vardy 6

As with others, I'd love to see Ünder play but Albrighton is in good form. Kelechi has earned his start and gives us Vardy off the bench to do damage if necessary. 1
Sunbury Fox Posted 5 February 2021 Posted 5 February 2021 Definitely don't want Perez to start. Would be happy with either Albrighton or Ünder on the right wing but suspect Brendan will go for Albrighton given the threat posed by Neto down their left.
