This in itself is a problem though, he seems to be fully fit for about 20 games a season. No way he should be starting ahead of Perez in this system, especially at the moment.

Like I said the game changing players in our team didn't turn up. Points better than none.
foxinsox Posted 30 April 2021 Posted 30 April 2021 I don't think Perez and Maddison together works. They just got in each others way. One or the other.

Dan Posted 30 April 2021 Posted 30 April 2021 While I think we'll still make the top 4, I think that has likely hurt our chances a bit in the cup - we can't go and rest everyone at Man Utd now.

They defended in a deep central block and forced us wide and we had no quality coming from either flank. Yeah, Castagne had no support and was poor. We had nothing from Thomas other than backpasses. It wasn’t until Albrighton got on we had something. Should have got Ricardo on too for Maddison or Ndidi for width.
The_77 Posted 30 April 2021 Posted 30 April 2021 We were always going to break through and get the goal but they just happened to get a penalty first. Any dropped points this weekend combined with a win next Friday and we’re fiiiine.
sishades Posted 30 April 2021 Posted 30 April 2021 For those who have short memories, we must get third as it looks like being an all english Europa and Champions league finals. If so only the top three get champions league. MUST MUST beat Newcastle and one other. 2 1
Dusty Posted 30 April 2021 Posted 30 April 2021 It’s incredible that we pay so much for rodgers when there’s 15-20 people on here that can clearly do so much better for half the price 2

Anyone would think we were in Sheffield Uniteds place and just got stuffed 4-0 at home to West Brom. We drew away, against a decent team who sat back for most of the game and made it really difficult. We’re 8 points clear of 5th with 4 games to go and have an FA Cup final to look forward to in 2 weeks. I suggest people log off their computers/phones, have a beer and enjoy their bank holiday weekend. Things aren’t really all that bad Enjoy your Beer in the pissing rain and gale force winds on Monday 😂😂
FoxOnWheels Posted 30 April 2021 Posted 30 April 2021 We leave ourselves more to do but at the same time if we are good enough for top 4 then 2 wins from 4 isn’t the worse position to be in
st albans fox Posted 30 April 2021 Posted 30 April 2021 Poor game .....really don’t want two threads discussing it !

Popular Post Manini Posted 30 April 2021 Popular Post Posted 30 April 2021 It’s mad how it’s just assumed that everyone below us will automatically win all their games now until the end of the season and it’s almost implied we aren’t going to pick up any points in our last 3. There’s twists and turns left in this yet, lots of footy to be played still. 7 1
copunk Posted 30 April 2021 Posted 30 April 2021 Frustrated more then anything, but some of the comments on here are beyond laughable "bottled top 4" etc give your heads a wobble 😂 defo think playing Monday then tonight had a slight effect on us 1 more point towards glory 3
Ric Flair Posted 30 April 2021 Posted 30 April 2021 Needed Vardy, Ndidi or Castagne to do something special in those final 10 mins. Not easy chances, but Vardy puts that away so many times over the years. A very frustrating night and it makes this next week or two a little anxious but give credit it where its due we once again managed to claw back a goal, however disgusting it was that we went a goal down to ten men. Still think we need 2 wins. 1
RowlattsFox Posted 30 April 2021 Posted 30 April 2021 Vardy's finishing these last few weeks as been atrocious, really bad. Red card turned it into the exact game we don't like. But we still should've won, had enough reasonable chances. Maddison needs one of his shots to go in, otherwise he just looks greedy or selfish. Lack of wing options continues to be our downfall. It's clear that Rodgers doesn't want to bring on Praet, Under and even Ricardo unless he has to. We'll have to wait and see whether these 2 points come back to haunt us. We beat Newcastle and I think we'll be ok.
Popular Post MGLCFC Posted 30 April 2021 Popular Post Posted 30 April 2021 (edited) Even against the 10 men of Leeds, Man City couldn't win. Things happen. Remember the real pressure is on the chasing pack, 1 of whom is still involved in Europe and West Ham with key players out. Edited 30 April 2021 by MGLCFC 4 1
Shamomoa Posted 30 April 2021 Posted 30 April 2021 (edited) Also I've come to the conclusion that ihneacho is better in a front 2 and vardy is better as a lone striker, seems to play too far out on the wing most of the time in a 2... for vardy to score u need him through the middle most of the time which at the moment he isn't doing... BenTheFox Posted 30 April 2021 Posted 30 April 2021 Was a dreadful game of football. Disappointing result but not a disaster.
