A bit left field maybe, however, do you think Bielsa would be considered? I know Leeds have gone off the rails a bit, however Bamford wasn’t going to maintain that form.

Still really struggling to see, why Man Utd would want Rodgers after the form we have shown in 2021.

I agree, I’d be surprised if they wanted him.

I know the media hype machine is always looking to move our players on, but Rodgers has been linked with three different jobs in the space of what, less than six months? Surely there's no smoke without fire, even if it's his agent fanning the flames.

Either he needs to publicly reject the United job in a way that reassures players and fans ("I'm not interested, I have unfinished business here", not "That's disrespectful, I have a contract") or he needs to go and let someone else join to shake things up again.

If he goes, Potter is the obvious choice but he won't leave Brighton mid-season (especially as they are better than us this season now he's built something there). Would Fonseca be an option?

Didn't he do this on Thursday??

Obvious why? He plays the same style as Rodgers...?

Maybe I misunderstood what he said, but his words felt cagey rather than an outright refutation.

I think Potter's shown he can improve players and make them work better as a unit. His style is similar, but less conservative, IMHO.

Honestly I don't know Stan, I'm clutching at straws here. For the first time in a long time I don't see how we upgrade the manager. I don't want him gone, he's done brilliant things for us. But I don't know how we're going to arrest this slide with the same issues game after game that should be ironed out on the training pitch. Plus, there just seems motivation and discipline issues, which makes zero sense. Perhaps that's us fans projecting onto the players as Rodgers suggests, but then 🤷🏻‍♂️

Wait. What . Are you saying the endless news reports all over the media of a done deal to sign him are fabricated ? I can’t believe what I’m reading .

Hes made a rod for his own back here.

What he said yesterday was silly. Our fans may be emotional and some may have delusions of grandeur, however I don't think deep down are fans are stupid and that's what he's made them out to be.

We may have 'over achieved' but if you do that twice running that's the standard you set. We all know we're capable of better, and he's seemingly no idea as to how to fix our major problems- we give everyone a head start because we're incapable of defending corners.

The answer is apparently personnel but then that's debunked as it's not got any better when players come back, therefore there is something bigger at play but he's absolutely no desire to even explain how to fix it.

He did say exactly what you are wanting to hear though? What more do you want? To stand on the table swinging his nob around with "fvck yanited" tattooed along it?

Ruben Amorim is the one, would apparently cost a lot to get him, possibly even more than we would get from Rodgers going to Man Utd, but I think it would definitely be worth it

After his short spell at Casa Pia (4 games) he was Braga Under 23 manager and then took over the senior job when that manager got sacked

13 games in charge, won 10, drew 1, lost 2 - beating sides like Sporting and Porto to win the Portuguese cup, leading to Sporting spending a similar amount to get him to what we paid for Rodgers and his whole backroom staff (€10 million)

Won Sporting their first league title in almost 20 years last season, only lost 1 league game all season, and conceded just 20 goals

Currently 2nd and still unbeaten after 11 games, having conceded just 4 goals

One of the best up and coming managers around at just 36, below article has a brilliant breakdown of every aspect of his 343 system - @StriderHiryu you will enjoy the article very much!

https://breakingthelines.com/tactical-analysis/tactical-analysis-ruben-amorims-sporting/

We were linked with him last season along with leeds. Could this happening if Rodgers goes and us paying the compensation as we would get more for Rodgers.

That's assuming he's not sacked after Christmas if our form continues.....

Listening to Romano just now it Yanited ain't got a clue who they will go for and most likely will be an interim

Strange - its not that the haven´t had the time to figure it out - Ole has been on a thing string since he started

I mean, if he could that'd be great. Sounds like the beginning of a new chant on the terraces to me 🤔

In all seriousness, like I said to Stan, maybe I'm asking too much or misunderstanding. Like all of us, I'm just at a loss for what needs to be done. And this forum is just a place to vent frustration.

want something to happen that rallies us. A rallying cry from the manager, a resounding win from playing well, or just not conceding...Whatever it is, we just feel like we're breaking down on the pitch and off the pitch in terms of morale. Hell, I'd take a hard fought 0-0 with a couple of shots on target in each half at this point just to stop the rot of conceding game after game.
