Presentation ceremony to be held at The Prince of Punjab? Hosted by Birch with winners announced by Rusty Lee? Broadcast live on Eurosport Channel 17 on a Monday lunchtime?

 

As with the music and film awards in magazines etc I think sometimes things that happen earlier in the year get overlooked or you think "wasn't that last year", maybe a brief "year that was" overview might help, I think on a serious note the days following the Super League announcement brought out some great stuff, a thread to be preserved in the time capsule, despite the hell on earth that was threatened there was articulation, gallows humor and focused anger but it's like the world has forgotten already. It was April, just 8 months ago. Then there's Cup Final day, the "as live" match thread needs preserving but also the post match thread into the early hours and into the days beyond, some raw unashamed emotion, this time joyful as we experienced feelings new and unique and expressed them as best we could after the emotional roller-coaster and 23 pints of something or other. Then the great work that goes on in some of the non footballing threads keeping each other supported through covid, depression, ill health and fish puns. A big award is deserved for the admin team and another for the collective post contributors, without a counter argument threads wouldn't gain the multi-angled deep level they often do so medals and applause all round from me. There has to be a golden inflatable dinosaur prize for most "WTF" thread and one for the kind, complimentary Chelsea fan who praised us for overcoming his mighty club despite having just a fraction of their Transfer and wages budget.... oh hang on, there wasn't one was there?

Yeah that’s a good shout. Great work - following our loanees progress would be a pain without @moore_94‘s updates

@StriderHiryualways posts thoughtfully.  Posts are informed.   He is always reasonable and balanced.  if I find myself disagreeing with him, I  reassess my own opinions and sometimes adjust them.

@kushiro posted brilliant historical articles about the radical city of Leicester including the info about the woman who threw war medals in the queen's face.

 

On a positive note , I have only felt the need to block one poster!

I think that the best posters are those that you could identify immediately from their posts without seeing their name or avatar.  For me those are @StriderHiryu, @Ric Flair& @HighPeakFox.

 

I would give best non-Leicester to @Muzzy_Larsson although I'm not sure that he qualifies as non-Leicester any more.  I think he's been institutionalised.

 

Also, there really ought to be a category for best poster beginning with 'm' and with an avatar of a winter scene with a dog in it.

 

This thread would be more entertaining if it were for the most annoying poster, worst poster, most aggressive poster etc, or even 'poster that drives me up the wall by putting three exclamation marks at the end of every opening sentence' poster (you know who you are), but that could get very messy.
