Thoughts on him today? 

 

Personally thought he looked very composed, wasn't fazed by the occasion nor afraid to get stuck in. 

 

Hope he gets a bit more game time towards the end of the season.

Thought he was a positive on what was ultimately another horrible performance. Got tackles in and seemed good on the ball. Like you say, hopefully he'll get more game time.

looks like he'll have to start next game judging by the injuries, these are the moments the good players seize so I hope hes up for it!

When I've watched the U23 games I've always thought he looked nothing special but today I thought he did okay. Certainly possible that he'll start next week. 

 

He has a long throw on him, surprised we never used that towards the end.

Agreed. Made a few top interceptions and looked tidy on the ball. Him and Silva the only ones to come out with any credit

He did alright, his style of plays make it a little easier for him to step up but we wasn’t fazed. Probably played too deep and left Silva on his own in the middle but that might have been instruction to allow maguire to roam forward.

I'll be honest, I didn't think he had what it takes. In the senior games I've seen him in the game seemed to pass him by each time. That said, I thought he did really well today coming on in tricky circumstances. He brought some much needed intensity too so good on him.

Did well enough. Got stuck in and didn’t give the ball away much. Didn’t really push forward and almost played as a third centre back. I can see him working in a 3 Man midfield as a ‘water carrier’ style player but not seen enough to say that he’s got the all round game to play in a 2 Man set up.

I honestly wanted him to succeed sure more to his hair than nothing else so I was happy with today’s performance.

Was composed for me, always seemed to be where he needed to be to make a block or interception. Seems to be able to pass a ball too.

Solid enough, would be comfortable letting James and king go in the summer, and having this lad in their place, as a squad player off the bench.

He honestly looked like a breath of fresh air to me! At last a midfielder that doesn’t look frightened to get involved in the game!

Looked good to me. My favourite part was a simple turn and pass in the first half- he absolutely hammered it into Simpson's feet at a time when we were pussyfooting around.

Gave a lot and seemed to stop a few of the shitty cutbacks that teams are getting against us a lot at the moment. Made up for a few Chilwell mistakes. Hoping he can push on.

Play him with Silva until Ndidi is back. Most players with no World Cup in the Summer are on the beach and we have probably ****ed up getting Europa - get the kids involved.

Considering his lack of first team football and bring bought straight into a struggling team I thought he was very very promising.

No doubt though just like Chilwell he'll be getting hammered by the end of the season!!!
