Wolves A Post Match Thread 4 - 3

Absolutely gutted about what happened after the second half we had but what do you expect when our defence was an absolute shambles?

Haven't been this upset after a defeat since the DEENEY play off game.

I want Puel to go, but the fact that some our fans are cheering the loss because they want him out honestly makes me feel sick. I'd take Puel over shocking fans like that any day.

Struggling to see the point of Mendy & Ndidi, they are terrible at starting attacking moves and offer no cover for the defense. Vardy and Maddison having to track back at the end there

We need a ball playing midfeilders someone who drives the midfeild no point in 2 of the same players who offer no attacking or creative threat nor can do there jobs at helping the defense.

You want to attack? This is what happens, you become susceptible to counter attacks and Wolves were clinical.

Spot on and why we load the midfield with defensive players - we simply arent good enough to rely on the defence to do it's job

Puel out. Wolves were poor and should still have scored 8 or 9. Repeated warnings off that diagonal ball and then low cross and we did nothing.

Morgan and Simpson beyond awful.

Who made the initial pass to give the ball away back to Wolves at the end? That was criminal. I think it was Ndidi

It was. His horrible passing was bound to have a major impact on a result one day. He's been the big flop of the season - yet Puel persists with him.

I hope he doesn't.

I hope we sack him and boot him onto the street.

Is it? Or is the style of play just not good enough? This is football club number 2 and the same problems have crept up on him. At what point is it him if not already?

The style of play wasnt the issue today was it? We scored 3 goals, from losing positions. It was exciting. All the usual things people say we cant do.

We should have got a draw out of this, Mendy doesnt pass the ball to them under zero pressure, Morgan doesnt lose his man for the second time this game! and we see it out

So its Puels fault that professional players can't do the basics? I don't think Choudary would of make a difference today when morgan, Simpson, ndidi, chilwell, maguire, Evans etc can't defend and do the basics.

Then play different players? Jesus christ, Mendy has made mistakes in plenty of games this season yet still started the next game, likewise Morgan at the beginning of the season.

I’d be more frustrated with Puel if he doesn’t sign a centre mid. We understand he’s obviously got a bond with Mendy but he needs to get rid, he’s not good enough and never has been for us.

Well why change the manager with the three games we’ve got coming next.

At least it might save us from giving the job to the caretaker again.

You would prefer us to give him millions rather than him leave by his own accord?

Why does the media think we want Puel out because we're boring?

We want Puel out because we are a ****ing hopeless team under his leadership and we are regressing as a club in a time when we have unbelievable potential to push on.

The snobbery from Carragher is ****ing disgraceful, acting as though we have no right to want to better ourselves and suggesting we should be happy because we've been involved in a 7 goal game.

Top absolutely has to get rid of him. That was a ****ing disgraceful performance today.

Because that’s literally what the majority of this forum have been saying? :dunno:

Can’t see the point in sacking him with our upcoming fixtures, any new manager would be onto a loser straightaway

True, would Rodgers want to come now? And build for next season, I think Puel knows he is on his way out.

It wasn't even like we had a plan going forward either, every single player just seemed like they were in the wrong position.

I agree mate.

You get back to 3-3, away from home after being 2-0 down in the first 12 minutes or so.

Everyone runs forward like madmen. Absurd. What was Puel doing on the touchline? Get them back. Defend for fuchs sake.

Feels like he had to win that to keep his job, else he would have told them to stay back surely.

Our defense is usually good under Puel. But go ahead and now say its a problem specific to the manager against all evidence.

Today was a game of individual player mistakes being our undoing, story of our season tbh

Today was just a continuation of the past 5 matches. We got lucky against a terrible Everton when everyone was hungover from New Years Eve. Other than that he hasn't been able to engineer a winning performance while playing against dross such as Cardiff and Newport County.

You can't just say that an individual match is not the manager's fault when the results are continually going against us.

It’s not the manager it’s the players ffs. That defence is terrible. Absolutely useless.

You do realise he trains the team, teaches them his system of defending, coaches them in it all week, and then picks the team he thinks are the best at executing HIS plan / method of play?

Well yes it was. The way we tried to play first half was awful, as it has been pretty much all season. When they were let off the leash we applied pressure got back into it and then the brakes were put back on until they scored again.

You can blame morgan and mendy all you like but who keeps selecting them despite these constant mistakes? When does it become his fault? When does it become his system? They play how he wants them to and it just isn’t good enough.
