The whole world smiles Posted 6 May 2019 Posted 6 May 2019 It's amazing how well we have performed in our 4 games against the utterly dominant City and Liverpool this season. 4 points and 4 top performances not many in the league can say that not even the top 6.
Tuna Posted 6 May 2019 Posted 6 May 2019 Proud of the lads, we came up against the best team ever to play in the Premier League and who will be worthy champions again this season and only lost to an absolute unstoppable worldie. We 100% deserved to come home with a point today. We've got a tremendously talented group of players an I'm really looking forward to next season with real excitement.
bovril Posted 6 May 2019 Posted 6 May 2019 Thought Ricardo was fantastic. Apart from their obvious talent, Man City are so well organised off the ball and work incredibly hard. Credit to them.
Brooksy Posted 6 May 2019 Posted 6 May 2019 Get Iheanacho out if the club. Absolutely stealing a living
Sir Shep Posted 6 May 2019 Posted 6 May 2019 Played well enough, deserved a draw, but it looks like it’s Man City’s year.
Buce Posted 6 May 2019 Posted 6 May 2019 So, so proud of the lads tonight - never has a team wanted the final whistle as badly as Manchester tonight. And if that chance had fallen to anyone but Nacho, Liverpool would be champions elect.
kingfox Posted 6 May 2019 Posted 6 May 2019 We tried. Good hard working performance, the likes of Ricardo and Ndidi especially were magnificent. Two negatives for me, we pissed around too much at the back with the ball and Ihenacho is still a useless cvnt.
Bryn Posted 6 May 2019 Posted 6 May 2019 Far too much pessimism about. Performance dropped off second half because the players were absolutely knackered. They went toe to toe with one of the best domestic sides this country has ever seen and it took an absolute worldy from an unlikely source to see us off. Brave and incredibly promising performance at this level.
Bourbon Fox Posted 6 May 2019 Posted 6 May 2019 Happy with that. Great display, and I don't want Liverpool to win the title. It would ruin too many jokes.

It is so frustrating that Man City can just go and buy our best player and leave him to rot on the bench. As exciting as this team is at the moment, this is why we will never permanently establish ourselves as a top 6 side, and nor will Wolves, Everton, West Ham or anybody else. Any top-level players are lured to the big sides before any of the growing sides are able to establish themselves.
StriderHiryu Posted 6 May 2019 Posted 6 May 2019 Very decent effort. Think we are being harsh on Nacho. I don’t rate him as a player but an out of form striker missing a chance isn’t exactly surprising. I wouldn’t be surprised if he’s binned off before next season anyway. The future is exciting that’s for sure. We put in a good account of ourselves and it took a worldie to beat us in the end.

You close the man it means they have a space in behind especially when it's their centre half. A Stat I saw was kompany hasn't had a shot on target from outside the box since December 2013! It was pure luck and I'm sure he would admit that to.
lozzyblue fox Posted 6 May 2019 Posted 6 May 2019 brilliant first half Second half I think pep had a word with our lads and gave them a bonus . Well played lads the only team this season to stop them scoring until 70th min. Keep most of the team together for next season we will be awesome
dyanmark Posted 6 May 2019 Posted 6 May 2019 In defence of nacho who had a shot- vardy didn't have a shot in the entire game,Maybe he should have been on sooner marc looked very tired and could easily have been pulled Good effort though
Guest Posted 6 May 2019 Posted 6 May 2019 please will the morons not suddenly blame Nacho for our loss. He was on less than 10 minutes, don't show yourselves up.
Lesta2014 Posted 6 May 2019 Posted 6 May 2019 If we can match the effort and work rate we had tonight for large parts of the season adding in a bit of quality we could have a very good season next year. Excited for next season now! Hamza and wild fantastic tonight shielding that back four!
Foxhateram Posted 6 May 2019 Posted 6 May 2019 Can't stand Man City. Hate the way they've bought success. And hated the way they played today. Foul after foul. Kompany and Silva could both have gone in a different game, ref bottled it. Nasty, cheating, fouling and time wasting. Only Pool can stop them now. Come on Liverpool!
fazzyfox Posted 6 May 2019 Posted 6 May 2019 Brave, decent, every Liverpool fan now understands our frustration at Nacho, B.Silva a bit lucky that Dean doesn't apply the persistent fouling=another yellow rule, a wonder goal, not shamed at all, just don't like that look between Pep and Chilwell, which Hotel was the pre-contract signed in?
CosbehFox Posted 6 May 2019 Posted 6 May 2019 Played very well. Hard to stay with them when they start playing like that in second half. I’d say only Maddison and Youri had off games (not a bad thing). The rest, particularly the defence deserve huge credit. You press Kompany to in that position. He threads an open pass to a midfielder. Can’t win. Absolute wonder strike. That the season will be remembered for
katieakita Posted 6 May 2019 Posted 6 May 2019 Decent performance against a very good side, mind you Silva was very lucky not to get 2 yellows as was Jesus, deliberate handball and a poor lunge on Ricardo at the end. Another positive is Tielemans had a quiet game. We are not up with Liverpool and these but we can look to up with the others
Blue ROI Posted 6 May 2019 Posted 6 May 2019 No shame in that.We applied ourselves well but we weren't going to hold them at bay. Don't believe anyone else would under the circumstances either Best goal of the season from Kompany. Worst miss of the season from Nachoman. Now to give Chelsea a run for their money on Sunday.
Dr The Singh Posted 6 May 2019 Posted 6 May 2019 10/10 for effort, took a worldy to beat us. Alot of really good defensive performances. 1st half we were better, second half I thought we played too deep. Overall the better team won, good look to Man City, type of fluke that comes with champoins
That_Dude Posted 6 May 2019 Posted 6 May 2019 2 minutes ago, limeydale said: Can't win football games playing scared, and we played scared in the second half Mate, you're aware that we played one of the best teams this league has ever seen away? Or you expected us to play them off the park? We only lost because of a wonder goal, there's no shame in that and could've even had a draw if it wasn't for Nacho's glorious miss.
MrsJohnMurphy Posted 6 May 2019 Posted 6 May 2019 Just now, FIF said: please will the morons not suddenly blame Nacho for our loss. He was on less than 10 minutes, don't show yourselves up. for once I agree with you
