You could see his injury coming a mile off, was waiting for him to pull up after every challenge. Got a terrible feeling about this lad despite obvious talent. He’s had an awful start to his career here.

He looked like he was struggling a few minutes before he went off, was squatting down. I thought he just lacked fitness and needed a breather but maybe his knee :fc:

Quality player, just needs to stay fit.

Pretty sure its nothing serious took him off as a precaution, same with Wes. Still  got Dan Amartey so definitely need to panic buy.

Fixed.

- Wes has torn his groin :(

- Benkovic has a sore knee, need to see how it is. Doesn't seem as bad as Wes' injury.

From the manager's update post match.

1 - 2 months for Wes then. That's unfortunate.

Had a decent game, see if he can get fit in time for the 4th round. Fitness issues are definitely a concern.

Needs to man up, ffs these snowflakes.

If we can get him over his injury problems we’ll have a very good player on our hands - looked promising I thought.

Leicester have one of the best medical/physio/rehab teams in football. They will get Benko sorted for sure & he will go on to be a City legend.

Looked really good and was surely going to be making the upcoming matchday squads with Morgan's injury. I hope it's not serious, gutted for the lad

We need 4 CB's for cover & today showed me he can be one of the four.  I'm guessing we will make a purchase in this window.

Played well today. Liked what I saw. Amazed that Wes has been on the bench ahead of him.

The reality is that he has a great deal of talent, and very little ability to stay on the field. He is not at present a player that can be relied upon in our planning. Not his fault from what we know, obviously, but perhaps he needs to focus on some physical therapy to strengthen up.

Sorry Pep, that's gonna be a no on Soyuncu. We def need a loan of a CB at a minimum this window.

He looked composed on the ball and has a good pass on him. As the game wore on he looked increasingly more composed - but.

He moved very gingerly to me with an odd gait. Kind of like someone in fear of what might happen if he truly stretched himself. Was he holding himself back and his worse fears happened? If so he is clearly not fit in mind or body.

As for Wes he only stretched his legs once and the old groin went 'ping'. Not a good sign that.

Shaky first 15 mins…. Tried a bit too hard and then found his poise and range….

liked his cross field pings which, once he became a bit more settled….

He’s a big lad….

If he has a torn groin muscle he ain't coming back in no two months.

Hopefully Benko is a short-term deal, but we pretty much have to panic buy or loan a CB at this point.

As others have said, looked half decent but I’m concerned about his injury! Pain in his knee doesn’t sound too much but I’m sure he had the issue at Celtic to the point he didn’t even play if they were on an artificial surface? Could be wrong on that though? Longstanding issues or just something that needs resolving? Whichever lets hope he can stay fit as he clearly has ability!

Feels like Tunchev all over again.

While his fitness is a concern I think that's a little extreme.

From what I can gather Benko has suffered a couple of different injuries rather than regular reoccurrences of the same injury (not 100% confident on this point admittedly.)

It's possible that he's injury prone or 'Matty James mkII', but he could just as likely be going through a temporary unfortunate run of back to back injuries.

Seems pointless speculating either way. All we can do is hope it's the latter.

Benko always had issues with his ankles.

Now his knee injury looks like just soreness and was taken off as a precaution

it always been his ankle that the issue
