Norwich 1-1 Post Match Thread

Not sure why we changed setup after the Everton game, diamond just doesn’t work.

Should have just stuck with Barnes - Madders - Perez instead of fannying about

Heard lots of criticism of Barnes in the match thread. He's a terrific talent and just needs to bag a goal or two to give him the confidence.

I love Harvey, huge advocate and I'm chuffed he's ours - but it feels like we've been saying "he just needs a goal" ad nauseam.

His (and Perez's) profligacy will become a genuine issue at some point.

Norwich were really solid at the back. We were really crap though, it was almost as Ranieri season 2 was in charge, we had no clue. Gray shouldn't be playing more than 20 minutes in a game and should only be an option to stretch defences while defending a lead. Everyone was crap really, thought Ndidi was pretty decent and that was about it.

Ricardo was my main disappointment, he turned into Danny Simpson and was hoofing the ball to nobody constantly.

Oh well, hopefully can make up for it next game.

Ah well, credit to Norch they were good on the ball, quick on the break and defended in numbers. We were far too open on the left hand side particularly.

We tried to change it around but just one of those days.

Oh and we need to get Kevin Phillips back to show Barnes how to strike a ball.

Forgettable from start to finish. One big nothingness.

Big chance to impress the home crowd. Wrong formation from the start, pretty much everyone not mentally present. Söyüncü with a remarkable off-day, Ndidi pretty much everywhere but not where he should be (his fault in positioning led to their goal), Tielemans, Praet and Maddison all so ineffective. Gray with the tricks, but without the goods again, Barnes and Chilwell not working well together today at all.

Let's face it - Rodgers was wrong to insist with the Diamond. Iheanacho up front just wouldn't work alongside Vardy.

Norwich pressing hard, getting a deserved lead.

That we managed to walk away with a point against lowly Norwich is a miracle, given how shit we played.

But maybe that's just the kick up the rear end we needed, going into the games against Manchester City and Liverpool...

Remember when Puel was the reason for the sh1t atmosphere? Haha good one. You’d think we were 14th after that. We didn’t deserve anything. Norwich very good.

Yep.

No coincidence that whenever we've trusted him to longer than a cameo we have been poor.

Just makes the wrong decision every time he has the ball.

Doubt it can be trained out of him.

I'm not sure about Barnes. I want us to give him time, but time and again he's looking headless and his finishing is atrocious. He's fast and can carry the ball alright (that is, until he gets robbed) but doesn't deserve to be in front of Albrighton to me.

Too many players had an off day. We looked tired.

We have had a fantastic winning run with some really special performances. Like all teams, we are going to get off days. Liverpool could quite easily have dropped points across Watford today and didn't look great either.

At least we didn't lose and who knows, that point could still be vital at the end of the season.

The key will be to learn from the game and bounce back.

Tielemans has looked off the pace for a few games now in my opinion and perhaps needs a rest. We also still know we need a consistent sharper attacking  presence alongside Vardy.

Yeah, Gray was poor. Perez would have done better. So ... we should not be too harsh on Perez.

Liverpool were crap and won today.  We were crap and could only draw.

Ricardo, Ndidi, Vardy and Chilwell were our only men not below par today.  Including the manager.

Onward and upward.

To be fair Wilf the only one imo who was not under par. The rest looked lost. Think a few need to realize this football is harder than they think it is

Well that was pretty terrible.

Not really going to bother finger pointing because basically everyone was shit today.

Just one of those things. You can't be perfect every week. Hopefully get it out their system before Man City.

Poor performance poor result

I’m going to say it again, many don’t seem to like him but we look better with Perez in the team.

Expect Perez to play next week...Madderz was poor today and so much of our play goes through him we just didn't get going...

Good performance from Norwich - too many niggly fouls and whining to the ref aside.
