Arsenal A Match Thread

This formation works against shit teams but clearly is crap when the other team attack in numbers. Albrighton and Justin dont offer enough creativity so we are relying on Perez who isnt the man you need.

I agree but not sure it's worked much, it saw us out the cup against Villa 🤔

Arsenal have been very direct and it’s working, their forwards are keeping the ball and making things happen but when we try and go forward it’s coming straight back.

that first goal was ridiculously easy and Söyüncü is finding it difficult there at the mo. We look ok with the ball but every time they go forward our shape is all over the place.

We got absolutely killed at the back with the 3-5-2. Not that I find the formation wrong, but we simply don't have the personal at the moment, especially with Chilwell and Maddison out. For all the stick they get here, they've been sorely missed. Switch to a back four in the second half.

Fuchs needs to come on, either we go.back to four or he offers protection and support for Soyuncu.

Defensively all over the place, but on the ball we've done ok at times. We can score here but can't see how we don't concede again.

Get out of here with a point and I'll be happy.

Sky sports commentators sound like the Arse fan club.

City have played okay but YT seems to be hiding when Perez gets the ball and looks for him and then passing backwards without looking up.

Justin has gone to sleep a couple of times with Aubameyang's speed.

Was the Iheanacho foul that cancelled our goal really that bad?

Ref is poor.

We can still win this but we need to get into them.

The player bought the foul

That's far from our worst performance this season. In fact, it's far from our worst performance in the past 2 weeks.

We've looked dangerous in spells, just all over the place at the back.

This isn't where the damage will be done. That was at Carrow Road, Turf Moor, Vicarage Road.

Fully agree.

People slagging us off.  Really?

We had a period on top, then a period under the cosh, and then a spell of end to end.

We've had no luck whatsoever and the ref is pretty atrocious.

We are properly competing.

Away at Arsenal.

For a Champions League spot.

All three results still very much possible.

Defensively a shambles and that's on the manager with this weird setup that means it's sort of a 4 at the back with Albrighton stood on the touchline. Soyuncu has looked clueless and needs to take off his dancing shoes and put some football boots on.

Perez just refuses to pass it when he's in a good position, so frustrating. The whole thing is frustrating, we're just a bang average mid-table side atm.

We started off well but defence has been struggling big time since the 20th mjmute mark or so. Cars worst game for us so far. The loss of Ricardo is being felt more so than ever tonight. Arsenal exploiting the weakness in the defence.

Been done over yet again with nachos disallowed goal but lucky to be still in it. Need to up the ante here or else our season is in right trouble.

Okay whoever plays the no10 will keep getting pockets. They are playing a deep line concerned about Vardy’s pace. Kel’s doing the right thing pulling Kolasnic out of their back three shape. The attacking midfielder needs to take advantage of the space vacated there

I didnt think we played too badly. Arsenal have become a decent side.

Look dodgy at the back.

We are not completely doggo here like against Watford, Brighton and Everton first half. A big 2nd half performance and we can get back in it. Last chance saloon, need to go all out. Lose and were done for CL.

To be honest if we loose might as well blood some youngsters next game, screw Europa league its bollocks.

Arsenal gizzfest from the pundits....ooooh Arsenal.

Why didn't Nacho's goal go to VAR?

Kavanagh blew up before the ball reached kel so it wasn’t  a goal - nothing to review .....

the whole point of var is for the official to wait but the lino gave it and he responded to her flag
