brucey Posted 19 July 2020 Share Posted 19 July 2020 Nothing will change the outcome. Might as well leave him on, it's all vital PL experience he'll need for the start of next season.
danny2997 Posted 19 July 2020 Share Posted 19 July 2020 To me he still looks like one of our better players, shows how eager you lot are to get on a players back. Bet you're all rubbing your hands together, weirdos.

Freeman's Wharfer Posted 19 July 2020 Share Posted 19 July 2020 Wow. If anyone is genuinely criticising him then they clearly having got much of a handle on what quality looks like. I’ve been incredibly impressed. He plays forward passes even if he’s in tight areas or is playing into someone with pressure coming on. Every cross he puts in is measured and not just a hopeful punt. And he’s linking better with Barnes down that left that Chilwell ever has. Going to be a top player this lad.
Ross 'LCFC' Turner Posted 19 July 2020 Share Posted 19 July 2020 He’s actually the only player creating anything at the moment, he’s made 2 mistakes miles away from our goal, it’s the shambles going on behind him that’s costing us!

However Brendan can manage it. Playing second half won't do him any good.

foxestalkisfullofidiots Posted 19 July 2020 Share Posted 19 July 2020 TBF the 2nd time he lost the ball could of easily been a foul and let's be honest spurs have been really clinical which has just highlighted the 2 mistakes

Mistakes should ideally be made at lower level (not the u23s) where he's less likely to be punished every time. This is a great point, I don't see what benefit players get from year after year playing u23s. Give them a season of competitive senior football and it will be great for these lads development. If Chilwell made those two mistakes today to lose the ball he'd be getting crucified. We miss both Ricardo and Chilwell massively. 1
lcfc sheff Posted 19 July 2020 Share Posted 19 July 2020 Bit similar to TAA, has a brilliant cross on him but ultimately not very quick or physical. He does well when we dominate possession think he’s gonna be pretty good for us barring a few misplaced passes.
Popular Post Ric Flair Posted 19 July 2020 Popular Post Share Posted 19 July 2020 Hahahaha you cannot seriously pin the blame on him for those goals entirely, going forward he's evidently gifted. No problem here, future is bright.
Guest Posted 19 July 2020 Share Posted 19 July 2020 He looked terrific early on but visibly exhausted towards the end and no doubt the errors took something out of him. Still hugely impressive given that this time last week 99% of us wouldn't have been able to pick him out of a lineup.
splinterdream Posted 19 July 2020 Share Posted 19 July 2020 (edited) He looked like Chilwell when we first started bringing Chilwell on so promising all in all but you hope for better cover for him which he just didn't get today, a season on loan is probably about right Edited 19 July 2020 by splinterdream
TeamRocket Posted 19 July 2020 Share Posted 19 July 2020 to be honest he's a kid Bennett and others around him should have helped him. If this was early on the season we wouldn't care much.

shailen Posted 19 July 2020 Share Posted 19 July 2020 Why are we making judgements on the kid. He's done very well considering he's our third choice left back and part of a patched up back line. Good cross on him, really pings those balls. Bennett was to blame for 2/3 goals allowing Kane to go on his strong foot.

Popular Post Ian Nacho Posted 19 July 2020 Popular Post Share Posted 19 July 2020 What is wrong with our fan base? He looked pretty decent today going forward, but looked a little lightweight when defending. Rodgers already addressed the issue of his size and saying he’ll get bigger but for Christ sake, he’s been thrown in to the first team, way before he’s ready, he’s put in a couple of decent enough performances and people are moaning because he’s not playing like prime Roberto Carlos yet. Get a grip.
RowlattsFox Posted 19 July 2020 Share Posted 19 July 2020 Has a quality left foot, but he contributed massively to 2 goals conceded. You can't just ignore because he's young. Sometimes you get away with mistakes, today he didn't and of course there were mistakes from other players following on from that too. I like him though, and I look forward to see him progress, appears to have decent composure going forward.
Hales Posted 19 July 2020 Share Posted 19 July 2020 It's a wonder anyone wants to play as a left back for us! The shite they get is unbelievable! It's one of the hardest positions to play!
