Koke Posted 16 December 2020 Posted 16 December 2020 (edited) This lot used to be good to watch but have gone full Tony Pulis with their tactics. 24% possession tonight at Anfield. We will have most of the ball and they will counter us. If they go a goal up, they will park the bus even more and shut the game down. Same line up again but with Evans back and Ndidi moved forward to CDM. Edited 16 December 2020 by Koke 3
adam Posted 16 December 2020 Posted 16 December 2020 Well if we can't break Fulham or Everton down I'm not too hopeful here. 1
Vacamion Posted 16 December 2020 Posted 16 December 2020 They sit back and break quickly What could go wrong? If we win, it would be doubly sweet as it would probs bang a nail in the coffin of their title aspirations. 1 1
Corky Posted 16 December 2020 Posted 16 December 2020 We'll have a lot of the ball, they'll hit us on the break, Mourinho will pat us on the head.
don_danbury Posted 16 December 2020 Posted 16 December 2020 kane to get his usual 2 or 3 goals and son to get his usual goal. 3 or 4 nil to them 4
RowlattsFox Posted 16 December 2020 Posted 16 December 2020 Our best bet is to go ultra defensive ourselves and try to get Spurs get on the break. No doubt we'll go there thinking we can dominate the ball and they'll just pick us off. Obviously in a shit mood after our game today but can't see us getting anything from Spurs or the Man Utd game and we're looking at 3 straight defeats. 2 1
NaijaFox Posted 16 December 2020 Posted 16 December 2020 Depending on the Concussion Protocol, Kane might not play this weekend.
NaijaFox Posted 16 December 2020 Posted 16 December 2020 Given our “form” this season, I fully expect a City win! 1
Sunbury Fox Posted 16 December 2020 Posted 16 December 2020 (edited) Only chance we have is to out sh1thouse them. Play a really deep 541 low block, like against Arsenal away. Force them to try to play through us and leave no space behind at all. Kasper Timmy, Fofana, Evans, Fuchs, JJ Praet Ndidi Tielemans Barnes Vardy Edited 16 December 2020 by Sunbury Fox
Jonezy Posted 16 December 2020 Posted 16 December 2020 Son and Kane always have a field day against us. Not very hopeful for this one, but then this season is a bit wacky isn' it, so you never know.
Matt Posted 16 December 2020 Posted 16 December 2020 Do NOT be scared. If something isn’t working be adaptable.
StanSP Posted 16 December 2020 Posted 16 December 2020 Reckon we go 3 at the back again to help us against the Son & Kane partnership. Kasper Fofana - Evans - Fuchs Justin Thomas Ndidi - Tielemans Maddison Perez - Vardy It may not be pretty but Ndidi back in the middle will help us out way more than what we saw today. Thomas and Justin will give us the width. Perez seems to have a bit of a fire in his belly so supporting Vardy like he did against Sheff Utd will be good. I know people aren't keen on the Maddison/Youri combo but I still think Maddison has the potential to be more creative than any other option when both are available. 1
Poiseuille Posted 16 December 2020 Posted 16 December 2020 Genuinely wouldn’t mind Slimani thrown in from the start alongside Vardy for this one. Something needs to change. Just so difficult watching this team pass around sideways for 90mins without creating anything of note. I can just see this happening vs. Spurs, and them hitting us on the counter. 1
kingfox Posted 16 December 2020 Posted 16 December 2020 Will be very interesting to see how we approach this game, in big games like this, we’ve sat back and looked to hit teams on the counter, yet that is exactly what Spurs have been doing to teams. Wouldn’t be surprised if we go three at the back, but we did that against them last season and got smoked; however this time around we don’t have Ryan Bennett. Can see it being the same team that we played against Brighton, will probably start as a 3-4-3, then he’ll probably change it mid match.
foxfanazer Posted 16 December 2020 Posted 16 December 2020 (edited) Vardy will score at least so 6-1 Spurs Edited 16 December 2020 by foxfanazer
Tuna Posted 16 December 2020 Posted 16 December 2020 Repeat of last season except we won't have Bennett.
shailen Posted 16 December 2020 Posted 16 December 2020 I just hope we break on them. Don't leave space in behind, stay tight and compact and use the pace we have on the break.
teblin Posted 16 December 2020 Posted 16 December 2020 I think we will try a Man City/Arsenal performance. Hope it doesn’t turn out like Liverpool
