When did Everton turn in to Burnley their anti football is making my eyes bleed

They've always played shitty anti football

Halftime analysis ‘Pickford would have loved to get anywhere near it’ - you bet he would love, he’s in the other friggin goal! It’s what we’ve been reduced to.

Everton just look to spoil the game - an awful watch but Italian mentality from the 70s. We’ll need an injection to get anything from this game as it’s a repeat of the previous encounter.

That's the problem, they can afford to heavily mark him because there is nothing on the right and nothing up front. With Vardy out we should have started with Under to have a threat from each side, clear as day. I wish managers were brave enough to make the right decisions.

Ranieri did it with albrighton -> schlupp in the title winning season. He realised we lacked pace without vardy and he was proactive about identifying the problem before it took place on the pitch. Sometimes i think rodgers is too reactive with him team selections, he waits for us to lose/draw before changing stuff and it costs us points.

It's beyond me why we haven't recruited a good back up for Vardy

Because anyone good enough doesn’t want to sit on the bench. Hence Nacho and Perez.

Shit half all round. Crap goal to give away, Ndidi going off, no threat going forward, commentators irritating as hell and Mike Dean his usual self.

Think it's been alright. Two confident teams out there. We look very decent o  the ball, with not enough penetration and Everton very composed all over the pitch.

Every game we’ve played against Everton since about 2017 has been almost unwatchable. It’s like Allardyce never left.

Need to get Harvey Barnes back in the game.

He was unplayable the first 20 minutes then sank away.

Because we’ve not created many good chances. Blame the supply.

Everton are just sat deep with numbers. As someone else said, it’s like watching expensive Burnley.

Perez doesn’t offer anything up front

Poor from Fofana for their goal too. Might've been an offside right before though

I’d Be more concerned the midfield were nowhere to be seen. Yeah it’s poor from Fofana but Ndidi/Youri nowhere.

Awful?

We look like an absolute rolls Royce of a team. We've hit a bump. We're right in this. They're  terrified of us.

A shrewd half time talk and a sub or two, this can can still.go either way

We had a decent 20 minutes and then didn’t have anything going forward. It’s like we dropped off 10 yards. You’d say under is the only player on the bench who could make a difference. Can’t expect miracles from Ricardo when he’s only just back fit.

Ayoze gets 86 mins Kel gets 4 + injury time.

Give him a chance

He's had plenty of chances and been shit, he is shit. He's OK if your a mid table/relegation team that's it. He is not the answer to any question if we have aspirations of being top 6.

Ndidi out is a bigger blow than Vardy imo.

His presence changes the whole dynamic of that midfield. Mendy can't play the protector in front of a back 4.

Not really sure what we do in this game now. Wouldn't be averse to switching to wingbacks, if only to get more players around Perez.

Ancellotti knows how to play against us, even with Vardy so it's even easier for.him tonight. And he isn't afraid to do it either, especially with no fans in the ground.

We knew they were going to play this way yet we have no answer 🤷‍♂️

Fingers crossed for another Brendan rocket at half time 👊

Tough watch. Everton are big, physical and negative. They also employ the dark arts, roll around at every opportunity and waste time at home when they get their noses in front. Anti-football despite spending a fortune on players. Anyone would think they had an Italian manager - oh wait! We need to get Nacho and Under on second half and at least have a go. Win, lose or draw be thankful we support Leicester and not Everton. Imagine having to watch that every week.
