Are we blaming him for the peno call last week? Bit unfair that.

Harsh yes but if we’re going by the ref’s nonsense logic he threw his arm up in an unnatural position, hence costing us a penalty.

Truthfully it’s not really his fault because he’s not up to it. He and Cags as a partnership is just shit and we’ve been forced into it through injuries.

By the same token we should then blame Vardy for the OG. I understand criticism, and Vestergaard has looked poor today, but I would say it's a bit early to come out with the pitchforks, especially when we have a number of players out of form.

I’m struggling to think who’d be a good partner for Vestergaard to be honest.

- Evans and Vestergaard would be too slow for Rodgers high line system.

- Fofana likes to drive forward with the ball which could leave Vestergaard exposed on the counter.

- Amartey and Vestergaard is a bottom half partnership lets be honest (despite Amartey playing well this season).

So where does he fit in? 3atb maybe? But we know we’re awful playing that system & shouldn’t switch to it just to accommodate a CB.

To conclude, Vestergaard is not a good fit for our squad, our tactics or style of play.

And Arsenal paid 17m for Takehiro Tomiyasu who we were interested in him

A panic buy I feel. The irony being that we slot 9 past Southampton and proceed to buy half their defence 🤣🤣

I rate Bertrand in fairness.

Vestergaard signs.

Wish he hadn't.

Pretty much hit the nail on the head. Southampton had a terrible defence and now he's come here, our defence is terrible.

His 1 on 1 defender today was piss poor and for all his height has no strength in the air what so ever. Even his passing was shite today. The only positive is he's making Cags feel a bit better by no longer being our worst defender this season.
