If it’s left to Aiyawatt and KP, we will get some crook. I’m not saying anyone is likely to sink us lower than KP have but similarly, anyone they select to sell to, I wouldn’t have faith they will get us to bounce back.

 

I think I’d rather it be taken out of their hands to be honest.

Yes and no. 

 

Administration would mean points deduction, that is the bit I'm worried about and with our woeful start I don't think we'd have the fight to get those points back then it'll be league 2!! 

 

But yes, you are right in the sense that taking it out of Tops hands is the best idea, the points deduction is the biggest thing.

It’s a process there will be multiple bidders ! It will all come down to the best financial package for the Thais, I’m not sure this guy can offer that.

Got about 12 minutes in, couldn't listen anymore. 

 

As others have said, this a publicity stunt surely.  He is worth about £1million I think, so the other guys need to be worth a lot more. (if the other guys exist)

 

The valuation is high, he's not wrong there, but it might be a case that buyers have to think about the club as a business and then the assets separately.  As I understand the Ground and Training ground are owned separately to the club (might have got that completely wrong).

 

I am worried we could be the biggest club in the history of english football to actually go under. The worse we do in the league like he points out, will make us harder to sell.

I do wonder why a potential buyer would feel the need to do an interview like this at this stage. Is the intention genuinely to start building a relationship with the fans and win their support, or is this more about raising his own profile and self aggrandisement?
Perhaps I'm being cynical, but when someone is looking to buy a football club, you have to question what they hope to gain from putting themselves so publicly in the spotlight before anything has actually happened.

I think it will be Turki Al-Sheikh. Top himself said in his interview that the club isn’t for sale, except if a rich prince comes along. He’ll see that as a victory.

We have 2 years left of parachute payments so absolute worst outcome that any reasonable FD should be planning for is broadly sustainable league one club aside from any debt interest payments.

 

As long as Top wants to protective his investment rather than wash his hands with us I don’t see administration as an outcome.

 

This guy is saying that the club is effectively worthless because of the debt.  Sounds like he either wants us to go into administration and buy us debt free after that or make an offer to the debt holders.

 

I just can’t see this being Tops best offer

Seems like a complete chancer wanting some time in the spotlight. I can't imagine King Power entertaining their inevitable low ball offer.

I don’t think it will, he’s a loose cannon, but gulf princes don’t part with their cash easily. He won’t pay £200m for the club, whereas an American investor probably will. Turk wants instantaneous success, which he won’t get here. Derby was all a bit weird, not sure what caused that to collapse. Plus, isn’t he terminally ill with cancer?
