Cracking signing on the basis of what?

His ceiling was League 1 five seasons ago.

He’s very direct and runs all day long. He’s had 2/3 promotions in last few years with Ipswich and he knows this league. Will work well with Chaplin. Yep he’s 32 in a few months but we need some experience as well.

remember we’re a league 1 team.

Is he really going to be the same player at 31/32 and after an ACL?

For 9 months otherwise we're toast. Unless it's a 1 year deal and then see you later, we will again be stuck with a player we can't shift in a league he will not be able to operate in, yet again.

Semper Eadem.

Blocking Carr’s and Alves pathway 😡

Carr should go on loan. Alves needs cover, but will get loads of game time.

I knew we’d sign him one day, been waiting to have this conversation with my Bristol city mate for years lol

Plays a starring role in his wife’s social media, both really down to earth and a good laugh to be fair!

The League 1 point is irrelevant. He’s had an ACL in the matter stage of his career. His output be significantly diminished.

A good functioning football club signs players with eye for the next three seasons. Not just one season and done

Or the fact he did his knee 18 months ago and barely played last season?

18 games last season off the back of bad injury. He’s a very good player at this level the Ipswich fans will tell you that. We’re in league 1 mate.

No way should we be spending money on a back up RW. Top is gambling hard on us going up first time.

Not going to be backup is he

The league 1 point is relevant tho he’s got loads of experience in it and know the league and been promoted out of it. Yes he’s had a ACL injury which isn’t ideal. We need some experience in the team for the season. Will be a good player for us this year 100%

18 appearances, 9 games worth of 90 minutes and 10 games worth of 90 minutes year before.

Played 19 games effectively over two seasons

Alves is going to get repeated knocks and niggles, we do need RW support. Carr is only a kid, won't be able to play continuously.

Not a fan of the age profile etc however as isn't going to be cheap.

The League 1 points is irrelevant because if he’s got an injury record, he’s got an injury record. That doesn’t change subject to division

Notwithstanding the reason someone like Birmingham and Wrexham did so well post League 1 promotion was they didn’t just settle for players who’d do a job in L1
