So an AI scout report says he’s a great pro, very fast, great pressing and defensive support but better suited to teams playing counter attacking football and not great against a low block. Sounds… odd.

It’s a solid signing. But I absolutely hear the concern about signing players who are 30+.
 

Options for the 3 behind the striker would be:

 

LW - Watson, Mavididi

CAM - Chaplin, Cullen

RW - Alves, Burns

 

I think Page works best when played deeper as an 8.

All these wingers and one striker who is yet to sign and CB looking suspect. I’m all for a pattering of experience but this doesn’t seem like a priority to me. 
 

One thing we’ve doing is ridding ourselves of losers he will have a different hard working mentality. Other than that I think he’s got to be backup having not long done his ACL and is now 31. But likely another last big pay day.

Even if it is just a 1 year deal I am not really a fan of this signing

 

32 in a few months, hasn’t played a lot in the past 2 seasons and has done his ACL in that period
 

We do need a right winger coming in though because if Alves is seen as first choice currently he does pick up quite a few knocks and Riley Carr would be better off out on loan

Cracking signing on the basis of what? 
 

His ceiling was League 1 five seasons ago. His league minutes in the last three seasons account to just 46 games

The more I read about him, the more I think he’s going to be a great signing. Ipswich fans absolutely love him (after reading the replies to this tweet) and in league one he should be very good. Seems another good character to have around the squad too which always helps and been something we’ve lacked massively as of late.
