Before we get too analytical and critical with the line up there were to be fair a very complex set of selection criteria rule algorithms which would have kept Martins crayons busy this afternoon. Point 17c subsection 3 quotes “You must select at least one young-ish lad who’s played shed loads of games over the past few years but is still s**t and unpopular” - hence Thomas.

Understandable to be fair. None of us are used to not having players available because of international duty, given we have only had 1 season in our history where games aren't automatically not on during an international break.

 

Some historian can tell me this rule only came in over the last few decades but my point stands!
