Players talking to BBC/Stringer - Its Time!

Recommended Posts

This thread seems to have turned from a suggestion of should the players re-engage with RL after years of refusing to give interviews into an assassination of Ian Stringer.    Given what we have all been though in the last 11 days, perhaps we should close this thread and keep to matters at hand including a very difficult Saturday ahead.

I'm inclined to agree.

I think criticism of RL and their presenters is fair game, but personal attacks are a bit out of order IMO.

Saw on Twitter today that Stringer visited NP at his house today to bury the hatchet.

We all love a happy ending :)

Pearson's son and Hooper both had un-happy endings in Bangkok

I would be interested to know Pearson's thoughts on City today. On the player Vardy has become. On Wes Morgan still going at 35. On the players he signed before he was sacked like Okazaki, Fuchs etc.

His opinion on how that funny Algerian guy with the weird streak of blonde hair developed into a decent player

Ian Stringer has always been an insufferable nobhead, and Radio Leicester is quickly becoming irrelevant in an era where you can watch interviews with the BBC and Sky Sports News on demand, and you can hear directly from the players on Twitter and Instagram.

Like others have said, he's never acknowledged his behaviour, let alone felt any remorse for it - he's tried to sensationalise and make mountains out of molehills ever since he's been reporting on the club. Don't know why RL don't just get rid of him.

EDIT: Should have read to the end of the thread before commenting lollollol

Nige looks so well at the moment. People go on about him not managing at the moment but fvck it, if he's happy who cares. Those that were there know how much he contributed to our success and those that weren't don't matter.

He seems about as grounded as you can get, and we already know from the stories of him hiking etc that he likes his quiet downtime out of the public eye. He's already made his millions from his career so far, so there's no obligation to throw himself back into the arena (hence why his last job was in a relatively obscure league) and he's clearly happier/healthier without all the extra stress and pressure.

Absolutely love the man.

I was literally about to say exactly this.

This isn't really a peace offering its a photo op. He's just an absolute bellend.

"I turned up to Nigel Pearon's house, had a photo and then left" doesn't have the same impact.

Players should maintain their stance until the shit stirring weasel has slithered off elsewhere. Nothing petty about blocking a man who abused their position and attempted to influence the managerial situation at the club, he's got idea's well above his station. Lets face it this is just about people with no other way of hearing player interviews wanting them back on RL nothing to do with the morality of the situation.

As for the photo Babylon and Finners have got that bang on.
