Back end of last season we couldn’t beat Norwich, Watford and Bournemouth.

Dreadful, absolutely dreadful. I suspected at 2-0 that we had absolutely 0 chance of winning that. Rodgers set us up all wrong, 5 at the back against the leagues second from bottom team in hindsight was the wrong formation to choose. That doesn't excuse the players though, they were awful.

 

The worst bit about it in the past week was the fans, in the past couple of weeks loads of people have been saying we should be beating Liverpool 3 or 4 nil, we should be beating Fulham by 6, we need to get more recognition as we'll be fighting for the title and we don't care if United win as they won't be anywhere near us at the end of the season. We've even had threads claiming this team is better than the title winners FFS!

 

What's more annoying is when people critise the managers, the players or something else and they're just met with 'look at the league table', we heard this for almost 6 months last season and low and behold we ended up finishing outside the top 4. Rodgers is a good manager but he still has a lot to learn.

 

Someone made a thread on Evans being poor last week and was got slated for it, but he's been poor for a while. I hope tonight was just fatigue catching up with the squad.

In summary, a thoroughly embarrassing performance all round, from Rodgers, the players but especially the fans. A well deserved loss, congratulations to Fulham who came here with a plan and played it perfectly.

 

PS. The final 90 seconds from us from that corner to losing it with Kasper in their box was one of the worst pieces of football I've ever seen, up there with Evans stupid free kick earlier in the match.
