He brings nothing mate. I know you like to defend him and you think he's harshly judged, but please tell me what he brings?

Today? Saturday? More than Maddison mate, much more.

The sad thing is Madders was even worse. At least perez presses and puts a shift in which is the only reason he's getting close to the first 11 in the bigger games

Exactly. We wouldn't need to be here berating Perez if Maddison fancied pressing, staying on his feet or going for a 50/50 every now and then.

Honestly question how a professional or even semi pro does that badly. Basic chance and all I can think is he’s gone for the top corner... which is crazy. Simple side foot home.

just gutted it’s fallen to him

Luckiest player in the squad to get so many mins literally for running around. He's too slow on the ball and loses it or gives away a free kick.

Tbf madders was equally crap today

Maddison isn't at his best at the moment no, but even at his worst it can't be said that he offers less than perez :dunno:

Which one was more likely to make a moment happen. Even today?

Anyone saying at least perez presses wasnt watching the game properly, he was waltzing round half the time hardly doing anything off the ball. When he did end up in a duel he lost the 50/50 pretty much every time

Get him sold. Nowhere near good enough for a team fighting at the top end of the table. His stats are dreadful and he offers nothing. He wouldn't have got a kick this season is maddisons hip wasn't made of paper.

Was he? Both did absolutely nothing.

Difference is Maddison has shown he can perform and clearly not fit. What has Perez proven with us? Nothing.

Maddison was shocking and has been since coming back. Both him and Perez lose the ball a lot.

Praet needs to be knocking on the door.

Both as bad as each other. Maddison would of done better with that chance though

I defended him earlier in the season, when he had some decent games behind the striker.

But it’s impossible to defend him now, has offered absolutely nothing in the past few months.

We must cut ties in the summer, we need better.

Yes he’s awful. Just think if we never bought him we wouldn’t have seen youri belt one top corner on Saturday 😂😂 shortest of short memories you lot

Are you suggesting that was Perez at his creative best? Getting hit by a bad pass and unwittingly deflecting it to Yuri, then lying down to watch Yuri carry it for 30 yards and hit it another 30 in the top corner?

He has to score from there. Unchallenged 12 yards out coming on to the ball. Hate to say it but that chance missed has cost us dearly. Not going to say it’s cost us CL football as there’s other problems over the course of the season.

I firmly see this as out of our hands now. Come 22.30 tomorrow we are 5th
