We played excellent football apart from that wobble in the first half. So much pressure, just not enough cutting edge in the end. Maddison's little pirouette and half volley deserved the goal, but fair play to Everton's defense for standing firm.

 

A good point all 'round, and could have been three!

Played well, lucky not to throw it away at the end there with Gomes and DCL having good chances.

 

Honestly we would play Mendy in Perez's place and you wouldnt  notice the difference.

Perez is much better centrally, presses well, just needs to get among the goals.

But for a single moment of quality and a Fofana lapse in concentration it's a win. We were the better team. If we go ahead at any point they have to go for it, and I think we then pick them off. 

Annoying really that they were lucky to take a lead.

That was the 2nd half we needed to see to show we have the bottle to be at the top end without Vardy and Ndidi. We have come on so much as a team.

 

Barnes was exceptional that 2nd half as was Tielemans. I must say if Justin and Castagne had been anywhere near their usual level then we win comfortably tonight. They were both pretty horrid if I'm honest, Justin better 2nd half but Castagne I thought was poor.

Slightly upsetting they could go level on points with us, because we are a much better football side, they're just well schooled in being niggly and organized.

Wasn't suprised they sat deep but was suprised how little they bothered to try and get forward. 

 

Massivley unlucky. They're really poor. It goes to show how unbelievably lucky we are to have the team we do. The Everton fans that don't understand why we get a mention more than they do, thats why. Honestly, Steve Bruce sets up with more adventure.

It was like playing a league 1 with 10 men. Even Brentford put up more of a fight

I'd feel a bit short changed if I was an Everton fan. All that attacking talent with Ancelotti as their manager but they play like a rich man's Burnley.

Can't keep think Perez and Nacho are good enough for a top 4 side.
