I think he’ll be similar to Mendy. Doesn’t do anything that stands out but a steady player that just keeps the ball moving. Nothing to really get excited about

Obviously very much against the curve here but in the championship he will be very decent - moves the ball quickly and wants to play - if we were still in prem no chance but for championship I actually think he will be decent enough

I’m quite content with buying him 

we don’t have a player to set the tempo of a game - to receive and move the ball on.  Youri did that for us (when he was fit )and pappy was also a reasonable option but lacked the confidence to take the ball forward effectively so it was generally side to side.  KDH should be able to do it but lacks the technical attributes to manage possession under pressure. Bouba - well we know he can do it but he loses concentration too much and he would prefer to go back to France if someone comes in for him. 

 

I just hope we don’t get £50m for madders and overpay 10m on winks ……..

I think he will be a ok player in the Championship, not ground-breaking or anything and hopefully there are more exciting signings, but my issue is the wage he may be on.

The fact Winks has got three times as many caps as Maddison tells you everything you need to know about it being who you play for being more important than how you play to get in the England side.

 

Still, hopefully the Championship is more his level.
